The good news was that Annie and Diane weren’t at the hospital. Sean had called both Port Angeles and Port Townsend, and no pregnant women had come into the emergency room. Green, Diane’s sergeant, had put out an alert on Diane’s vehicle. They’d already checked to see if there were any accident reports, and nothing had come in, which was good news. Of course, the only problem was that Diane still wasn’t answering her phone. Annie hadn’t shown up for her doctor’s appointment, and her cell phone kept going to voicemail. It was as if both women had dropped off the face of the earth.
