Chapter Thirteen Annie was huddled into a corner of the bedroom, staring at the chair she had fixed under the doorknob to keep the door closed. She needed it to stay there. She feared each second that passed that Sean might try to break through that door and finish her off. Maybe she should have called the sheriff instead of Zac, but then, Diane was a cop.
