Don't Judge Me Alpha

“Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Selina, Happy Birthday to you”. WHY!! Why wake me up so early? I screamed inside my head while rubbing my eyes so that I could open them and see who or what was singing to me. As my eyes cracked open and I was tormented by the blinding light from above I began to register that my roommate, her boyfriend and my best friend were laughing and singing. I set up and pulled my knees to my chest, all I wanted to do was sleep, but I from the energy that was radiating off these three people was likely not going to happen. I smiled and covered my mouth “Thank you guys! I have never felt so loved” I simply replied. “So what are your plans for today girl? I can’t believe you're 21! That’s a big birthday!!! We need to go Clubbing and Drinking tonight” Katie was smiling and giggling….. “Uhhhhhhhh, that’s not really my scene,” I said but I don’t think she nor Kinnon heard me… They had already started planning outfits, transportation, and clubs.  Don just smiled at me and I nodded my head. Don was a sweet guy. He was actually one of my first friends when I moved to Vermont to go to school. Being from Maine this wasn’t that big of a change, but it put enough distance between my parents and I that I didn’t see them that often. See on my 18th birthday my parents informed me I was adopted, like how can you keep that from me for 18 years, supposedly they had lost a baby just a few weeks before I was left on their doorstep and that’s how I became theirs. But My name was chosen by my birth mother, but that’s all I know of here. We immigrated from Scotland two months later. So I have always lived in the USA, but I am not from here if that makes sense. I chose to come to Vermont because I needed to get away from my life there, I needed a restart. So, I took the scholarship and came to Castleton University where I am currently working on my master’s degree in Education, so that I can teach history. Honestly, I could have started teaching 2 years ago, but I was offered a scholarship to get my masters sooooo why not. My first year I lived in a dorm with an awful awful girl who made my year a living hell. However she dated Dean for about 3 weeks, but he and I hit it off and became super fast super close friends. The following year during Medieval and Early Modern Europe I met the most interesting person that I had ever met. Kinnon Lockheart he was GORGEOUS to say the least. Imagine a Roman God and a Greek Goddess had a baby, he was as girls said “drool worthy” however he was not interested in the opposite s*x per say. We were paired together the first day, ( I think because I was the only girl not drooling over him) so Prof Michaelson put us together which I have never been so grateful for. Kinnon quickly assessed my homely look and became my best friend.  My 2nd & 3rd year I roomed with Darcy which thanks to Don and Kinnon I was never home. My 4th year I broke from the dorm life and got a roommate to live on the outskirts of Castleton. Which lets be honest there is a population of 5,000 people in this little town which borders New York.  My roommate was none other than Katie, which has been the absolute best. Kinnon talked us into moving into his townhome complex in Glens Falls. About an hour from the school, but since we were only there 2 days a week it wasn’t a bad commute especially since Katie and I had the same classes. Now we have been here for about 6 months and it’s been awesome, even more so when Don finally broke down and asked out Katie.
