KATE’s POV
I didn’t realise Ma had brought a maid with her, so I was surprised when we walked into the bedroom and there she was with the suitcases out and a lot of outfits already scattered on the bed for us to choose from.
Ma said to pack for about 2 weeks’ worth as she wasn’t sure how long we would be there. Of course, she had also double checked the weather conditions for us, so she knew what we needed.
She didn’t ask me how the 3 of us were going as we had already had that conversation many times over the last 2 weeks. Also, with the goofy grin she had on when she walked in meant she guessed she had interrupted something.
