It might be strange and overbearing, but ever since Mia’s grandma passed away, I’ve been worried about her. I had no contact with Mia, but her grandma often babysat Elly and I always came here a lot.
I think that her grandma only ever spoke of Mia to me, and to Poppy when she was still alive, but not to the other guys. And even Poppy couldn’t always deal with hearing about Mia, especially in those last weeks. I don’t think the other guys even know that Mia’s grandma kept me up to date about what was going on with Mia. Her grandma even asked me how much she should tell Mia about Poppy’s death, how much I wanted her to know.
Though, looking at Mia now, I don’t know that my answer of ‘as little as possible’ was the right choice, she looks... She looks broken.
