Chapter TwelveAutumn secured her holster around her waist before slipping on a loose black tee. Then she wiggled her feet into a pair of boots that laced tightly up her leg. An extra clip for her pistol sat on her nightstand, bullets loaded. With a steady hand Autumn shoved it into the already tight pocket of her jeans, and then slid the gun securely into its holster. She took a long heart throbbing look into Josie's healing face. Her bruised chest rose and fell with steady healing breath.
