Chapter ThirteenAlex was the first to arrive. He showed up empty handed in the same black Cadillac he'd driven the night before on his date with Autumn. She focused her binoculars on him as he parked the car and climbed out. Three men in suits accompanied him. They stepped out of each passenger door of the Cadillac, adjusting ties, and straightening hair. Chance leaned toward her and whispered in her ear. “The one in front's a senator. We've expected him to be tied in for some time, but until tonight haven't been able to prove anything. The other two are new, I've never seen them before.” The man he was talking about was in his late sixties and looked it. His hair was white and thin.
