Rediscovered

Chapter 19

I closed my eyes and dropped to my knees from the pain. There was a burning in my stomach and pounding in my head. My bones felt like there was a pressure inside trying to break through. Suddenly for a moment everything started to ease and I though it was over.

"Not yet, Mar. The worst is yet to come." I heard Amaya whisper. I feel Jake wrap his arms around me and whisper encouraging words just as another wave of pain hits. This time it is much worse and I cry out. I can feel my bones breaking now and everything moving and changing. The pain starts to ease again and I can feel Jake Rubbing my back.

"Almost done Mar." I hear him say. I cry out again an another wave hits me. This one seems to last longer and way more intense than the last two waves combined.

"Make it stop!" I cry out but no words were formed, I only heard growling. Soon after the pain slowly stops and only soreness and exhaustion was left.

"Open your eyes Mar." I heard Amaya say.

"Your so beautiful." Jake said as I felt his hand run over my head.

I opened my eyes and was shocked. Everything looked different in the most beautiful way. Everything looks clearer and more vibrant. I could see farther than before. I could smell all the flowers and hear squirrels climbing the trees from across the meadow. I looked around to everyone and they all had smiles on there faces. Sarah walks up to me and pats my head. I shake her off because I am not her puppy she could just pet like that. She chuckles, "Your fur is soft and beautiful, I just had to feel it." she said with a smile.

"Want to go for a run?" I hear Jake say and I look to him and give my best smile. Suddenly I can feel my rear swaying and look back to find a tail wagging. Its my tail, and it is a beautiful chocolate brown with darker brown at the end. 'It does look soft' I thought, wanting to feel it myself.

I turn back to Jake and see he has shifted to his wolf as well. I try to stand and take a few wobbly steps forward. Four legs is harder to manage than you think. Once I am next to Jake I notice how much bigger his wolf is than mine. He nods his head towards the woods and I start to walk forward with him right behind me.

"Mar can I take control? I want to play with mate." I hear Amaya ask.

"Yes, But no funny business" I told her just before I could feel her pushing forward and let her take control. "Deal" she responded.

I can see everything and feel everything, but don't have control and that is still a weird feeling. Soon she starts to run really fast and I can hear Jakes wolf bark playfully. He catches up to us quickly and pounces on our back making us roll. Amaya and Jake's wolf spend a few hours playing before she pushes me forward and I have control again. Jake and I walk back to the house and Sarah is standing there holding clothes.

"How do we shift back? and will it hurt?" I ask Amaya.

"Just think of your human self. It will be uncomfortable but nothing like our first shift. It will all get easier the more we do it. Soon it will be as easy as breathing." She said and I started to think of my human body. She was right about it being uncomfortable but it was barrable.

I looked down and quickly covered my goodies as best as I could and Sarah handed me the clothes she was holding.

"Thank you." I told her as I quickly got dressed. I turned to see Jake was turned away, for that I was grateful.

"All done." I said and he turned around with a smile on his face.

"Aw, I was hoping you would let me peek." He said with a wink. Sarah slaps his arm and I couldn't help but giggle.

"Let's get inside you must be starving." Sarah said as she grabs my hand and pulls me to the kitchen. We all talk about the run and how my wolf looks. I crack a few jokes about Jakes wolf acting like a puppy. Then I realized I never asked him what his wolfs name was.

"What is the name of your wolf?" I asked him. He looked at me with a smile and quickly swallowed his bite of food.

"His name is Xander." He said before taking another bite. I smiled at that, "I like that name." I say out loud and I can hear Amaya growling softly in approval.

My eyes start to get heavy and I let out a big yawn. Jake stands and hold his hand out to me.

"Let's get you cleaned up and into bed."

"A nice hot shower and sleep sounds amazing." I say with a small smile. I take his hand and let him guide me. He starts to take me upstairs and I stop.

"Where are we going? My room is down here."

"Oh, I was hoping you would to stay in my room tonight."

I was to tired to put up much of a fight so I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Fine but no funny business." I said with a glare.

"Deal!" he said with a huge smile. I chuckled at his antics and let him lead the way.

While in the shower I could hear Jake shuffling things around in his room. I really hope he doesn't expect anything from me, especially not tonight. I still haven't talk to Jake about the meeting with my fake parents tomorrow evening and we need to make a plan on what we should do.

I turn off the water and step out. I grab the towel and start to dry off when I realize I didn't bring any bed clothes with me. I wrap the towel around me and crack the door open to see Jake sitting on his bed looking at his phone.

"Hey, I forgot clothes. Could you have Sarah bring some up?" I ask.

"You could wear some of mine if you want." he says with a smirk. I roll my eyes at him.

"Fine." I say and he quickly goes to his dresser and pulls out a t-shirt and gym shorts. He hands them to me and I shut the door. I pull on the shorts and have to pull the strings tight to keep them up. The T-shirt was big enough to be a dress, but it was comfortable. I walk out of the bathroom and I can see Jake staring at me with hungry eyes.

"You look good in my clothes." he said in a gruffy tone. His voice and the look in his eyes had me turned on. I shook my head to clear it of the dirty thoughts that started to make their way in.

"I said no funny business." I tell him with a stern voice. He sighs, "Okay, okay. I'm sorry." I smile at him and jump into the bed next to him and pull him into a hug.

"Your so cute when you pout." I say with a small chuckle.

He smiles then wraps his arms around me and before I knew it we were both fast asleep. I guess that talk will have to wait until morning.
