Rediscovered

Chapter 10

Jake and I sat there for a while even after I was done eating. We talked about little thing and we got to know each other a lot better. I started to feel tired and yawned. "I will let you get some rest, we can talk more tomorrow." Jake said as he started to stand. I don't know what came over me but I didn't want him to leave. I grabbed his hand and felt those pleasurable sparks again. He turns to look at me and raises his brow waiting for me to say something. Would he freak if I asked him to stay? The bed is plenty big enough for both of us even with my casts. I let go of his hand and sighed. "Call me crazy but.... Would you mind staying with me?" Then I quickly added, "just until I fall asleep, I don't want to be alone right now." He smiled sweetly and started to walk towards the empty side of the bed. "Your not crazy, I wouldn't mind laying with you until you fall asleep." He climbed on top of the cover while pulling the covers up over me the rest of the way as I scooted down to get comfy. He wraps an arm around me and I feel so safe and comfortable I find myself falling asleep quickly.

**Jake's POV**

I was over joyed when she asked me to stay while she was eating. I found out so much about her and I wished I could be more honest with her about me. I would share stories with her but I had to twist them to avoid telling her to much. She started to yawn and I took that as a sign that she need to get some sleep. She surprised me again when she asked me to stay. I couldn't refuse her, I would do anything for my little mate. She was stubborn and strong willed, but I wouldn't want her any other way. I tucked her in a laid beside her. I stayed on top of the blankets cause I didn't want her to think I was taking advantage of the situation. She fell asleep quickly and I just stayed there with my arms wrapped around her holding her close. She keeps getting hurt, and I feel powerless to do anything about it. Thinking about all the things I would do for her took a while and I found myself drifting off to sleep with my little mate in my arms. I know I should head to my own bed but I couldn't help it.

**Marlene's POV**

I woke up in an embrace and knew who it was. I turn my head and smile as I see Jake still asleep next to me. I know I told him to stay until I was asleep but I am not made at him for staying all night. I have only known him for a short time, but I feel myself falling for him and although it is scary, I am ok with it. I gently trace the curves of his face as if to try and memorize his features. I look back to his eyes and he is staring at me. I get lost in his eyes as he leans in closer, I know what is about to happen so I close my eyes and meet his lips halfway with my own. As soon as our lips come in contact the sparks I felt before were more intense. His kiss was amazing and gentle. He pulled away sooner than I wanted and I instantly missed the feel of his lips. "I.. I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that." He said as he sat up in the bed. He started to rub the back of his neck when I reached out to him. "It's ok, I didn't mind." I tried to comfort him. He turned to me with a small smile. "Want to go have breakfast? I think Sarah is making bacon and pancakes." At the sound of hot food my stomach grumbles. We look at each other and laugh. "That sounds good. Do you mind giving me a hand?" I ask. He doesn't say anything as he picks me up bridal style and starts to carry me down the stairs.
