Chapter 21
I hang up the phone and look to Jake and Sarah. They were talking with a group of people and I didn't bother trying to get there attention before walking outside to call her back. Last time I called her she said she didn't know me and hung up. Now she is joining my 'parents' and I for dinner tonight? Is she working with them? Does she know? If she is involved then our friendship was nothing but a lie. I dial her number and hit call but an automated voice tells me the number has been disconnected. How am I supposed to get ahold of her now? Then a thought hits me and I reluctantly find the number to one of the people I really didn't want to talk to ever again.
