Chapter 24
Marlene, Jessica, Kathrine and Alphonso sit and chat for an hour or so. Marlene is struggling to keep her facade. The more they talk about the past as if they are her real parents, the harder it is to keep from screaming at them. She can also tell there is something wrong with Jessica, but she hasn't been able to place it. She wants to try and get her alone so they can talk. She has a plan, hopefully Jess will follow along. Jessica has been doing a bad job at playing her part and Alphonso is losing his patience with his wife's new pet. He believes she's only as useful as a blood bag and wants to be rid of her.
