I’ve been in Westmount Pack for a little over a week now, and It’s been great. For the most part…
Jeremy keeps acting weird whenever Blake gets within four feet of me. He looks at him as if he wants to kill him, but for what specific reason, I don’t know. I’ve asked him a few times, but he keeps telling me it’s nothing and that I shouldn't worry about it. Then he pats my head like I’m five years old again and ruffles my hair. I hate that, and he knows it.
I’ve only seen Blake a few times since the semi-incident in the kitchen a few days ago.
Whenever he’s not around, I find myself missing his presence. So is Sacha.
We didn’t end up going to the Pack’s Doctor. Neither did we tell my mother, or even Jeremy about it.
I don’t want to be the weird she-wolf with issues when we’re visiting another pack. Even if it’s with family.
Sacha and I have been getting along really great. She’s the best friend I never thought I’d have.
This morning, the guys tried convincing me to train with them, but I really didn’t want to. Training isn’t something I’m into right now. Maybe in a few years if I want to become Lucas’s 3rd in command, but not for now.
Walking along the riverside Wesley showed me the other day, I take in the beautiful scenery that's in front of me. There is so much to look at. There are trees as high as the sky, and so many colorful flowers all over.
‘This place really is breath taken’ Sacha comments, feeling as relaxed as I am.
‘I sure could get used to living close to a place like this. Too bad we don’t have something similar in BLack-Crescent Pack.’
The endless river flowing at a steady pace.
The sound of birds chirping all around.
The light breeze making my hair flow lightly against my cheek.
The sun shining high above the tall trees.
I love the comforting sensation this place is giving me.
Closing my eyes, I can see myself in a few years walking along this path, being held by my mate.
Why did Blake pop into my mind when I thought about this? Lucas’s going to be my mate, isn’t he?
I sense a ray of shiver crawling up my body.
Blake…
Not even bothering to turn around, I take in a deep breath to stabilize my rapidly beating heart, already smelling his musky scent.
“Lana,” He says, making my name sound like melting chocolate.
How can he make the simplest thing, such as saying my name, sound so delightful?
“Hi, Blake. I reply, enjoying the feel of his fingers gently laying on my hips.
“I was wondering where you went off to. I didn't see you on the training grounds with Jeremy and the guys.”
“Were you worried about me?” I ask teasingly.
Turning around, his hands sliding along my side as I move my body, but never breaking off contact.
‘Can we stay in his arms forever?’ Sacha purrs in delight.
“No, I was not worried,” He says with a slight smirk.
“ I was only wondering where you might have been. With Jeremy hovering over you all the goddamn time, getting you alone has been quite the challenge. But here you are, alone at last.” He says with desire resonating in his voice.
“Escaping the training to find you, now that was another challenge.” He says with a light chuckle, making my thigh clench.
“Why would you want to see me alone?” I ask, my voice trembling slightly from nervousness.
“For one, you are quite beautiful.”
Averting my eyes, my cheeks turn crimson red from the compliment.
Placing his index finger under my chin to lift my head back up, my eyes fall onto his.
“For two, I can’t get enough of looking at those beautiful, bright brown eyes.” He says, his eyes lowering down to my lips, making me gulp while he likes his lips to moisten them.
“For three, I want to get to know you better.”
“Why?” I blurt out with a frown.
‘Stupid question.’ Sacha whines, rolling her eyes.
“Why, you ask. Why wouldn’t I want to? You intrigue me.” He says simply.
But, there’s nothing interesting about me. I mean, I don’t really do much apart from going to school and hanging out with my friends.” I reply, shrugging my shoulders.
“I’m pretty sure there’s a lot more to you than that. You might not have noticed it just yet. But there’s definitely more to you than meets the eye.”
“If you say so…” I mumble, rolling my eyes and turning back to look at the scenery.
“This place is really beautiful.”
“It is, isn’t it?” He says with a smoldering smile.
Thinking for a moment, I turn a little sideways to look at him.
“How about you? What do you do to have fun apart from hanging out with my cousin?” I question.
“I do a lot of things.” He says with humor shining in his eyes, making me even more curious about him.
“Like what? What’s your favorite thing to do?”
“I have a specific physical training I love to do.” He says with amusement in his eyes and a crooked smile on his lips.
“Yeah, I can tell you work out a lot” I blurt out, again, without thinking.
I turn bright red again from the word vomit that just came out.
Surprising me, Blake double up over in a fit of laughter.
‘His laughter is like silk to my ears’
“Yes, I do work out a lot. But that’s not what I was referring to.” He says, still chuckling with a smirk on the corner of his eyes catching lips.
“What were you talking about?” My innocent self asks.
As he opens his mouth to answer, we are interrupted by loud and fast footsteps approaching.
“I’ve been looking everywhere for you, Lana! Why didn’t you tell anyone where you were going?” Jeremy chastise.
“Relax Jerr, she’s not a baby anymore,” Blake says nonchalantly.
“She might not be a baby, but she is still only thirteen and she is not on her own pack’s land, Blake!” He says with a low growl resonating behind his words.
‘Why is he so angry and frustrated? He’s looking at Blake as if he wants to rip out his head.’
“Still, she wasn’t alone anyway”
“Yeah, that’s one more thing that was worrying me,” Jerr mumbled under his breath.
Walking closer to me, Jerr lightly pushes me forward and away from Blake.
“Come on. Let’s get you back at the packhouse before your mother sends out a searching party.”
“Why would she send a searching party to look for me? I wasn’t that far out. And she already knew I was going out for a walk.”
“She was because she’s worried about you. You’ve been out for a few hours now. Since we’ve been hanging out, she asked me to go look for you, before she didn’t something a bit more drastic. So, I followed my instinct and found you here” He says, looking at Blake again with a murderous glare.
“Lighten up, Jeremy,” Blake says, pissing Jerr off a lot more.
“Ok, you two, no need to get all angry now. I guess I should head back.” I say, making my way around the boys still aching an intense eye battle.
“Thanks for talking with me, BLake. I’ll see you around.” I say, before rushing my steps a little towards the packhouse.
