Dinner with Devin and Gary had done just what Vanni had hoped. It had given him something to do that didn’t make him feel sorry for himself. Well, he had to admit, not totally sorry for himself. As he watched the two of them together he did feel a twinge of sadness that he couldn’t find someone who would love him the way they obviously loved each other. On the other hand, he thought, he was still relatively young. Who knew what might be down the road for him sometime in the future. That thought perked him up so when the guys had suggested they all go to one of the clubs for an hour or two before they headed home he’d readily agreed.
