An amused grin lit Vanni’s face as he and Hollis left the club. “We have the car situation again.”
“So you follow me. Easy enough.”
“Umm, I hardly have to follow. I do know where I live.”
Hollis nodded. “But do you know where I live?”
“I take it you’re planning on going straight home.”
“Familiar territory and all that,” Hollis said hesitantly. He felt a bit foolish now but…
“I totally understand.” Vanni gave him a swift hug. “Your place it is.”
Once they were on their way Hollis kept checking his rearview mirror, certain that Vanni would have a change of heart. So when he pulled into his driveway with Vanni right behind him he sighed in nervous relief.
He waited for Vanni to join him when they were out of their respective cars.
