Chapter 26 Vanni ignored the ringing of the phone as he always did. His head told him to answer it; it might be important. But he couldn’t. It was all he could do to get up each morning to go to work. Even though he knew that no one there was aware of what had happened, he still thought the looks his coworkers sent him held pity.
