CHAPTER 14

Mia woke up from her sleep by her morning alarm. After turning off the alarm clock, she turned her head and saw the place beside her was empty. Andrew was not there.
Mia touched the place where Andrew slept last night, there was no warmth. That means he woke up very early.
Mia then lazily got up and sat on the bed. Suddenly the moment of last night, between her and Andrew flashed in her mind. She was thinking about the kiss. Thinking about the kiss Mia touched her lips with her finger tips and smiled unconsciously. It's was her first kiss.
Ping.
A text message entered into her phone which broke her fantasy.
She took her phone, unlock it and saw it was a message from Mr. Scott. Which made her happy.
Mia also replied him immediately. After Mia send her message, within a few seconds Mr. Scott called.
"Yes Mr. Scott." Mia responded shyly.
"Were you thinking about that incident what happened last night?" Andrew asked casually. As if he was talking about any unimportant topic.
Mia didn't expect that Mr. Scott could bring that matter all of a sudden like this. She was totally off guard that time. She became speechless for few seconds due to this sudden shock.
Then Mia shook her one fist and replied to Mr. Scott,"No..."
"Then what was you thinking?" Andrew again asked.
"This man..." Mia was cursing him in her mind silently.
Then Mia opened her mouth and asked Mr. Scott,"Did you call me just to ask this?"
"No." Andrew replied her immediately after she asked her question.
"Then? What was the reason to call me in this early morning?"
"I can't even call my wife without any reason?" Andrew raised his one eyebrow and asked her.
"I didn't say that." Then suddenly Mia thought of something and looked at the time.
"Anyway why did you leave this early today? Isn't it too early for your office?" Mia asked.
"Yesterday I forgot to tell you that I'm going to overseas for 3 days." Andrew said with his elegant voice.
"Overseas? For 3 days?" Mia repeated these words.
"Yes. I have a tennis match there."
"Oh." Mia responded.
There was a long silence after that.
Finally, Andrew broke the silence.
"I have to check in now." Mr. Scott said.
"Oh. Umm alright then." Mia said.
"Hmm" Andrew responded to Mia.
The phone call ended.
After a quick clean up Mia came down and reached for the breakfast. Mia saw the table was ready for her and aunt Luci was also there. Aunt Luci didn't notice Mia's arrival.
"Good morning aunt Luci." Mia greeted her with a sweet smile.
Aunt Luci looked back and smiled. "Good morning Ms."
"Please have your breakfast first." Aunt Luci said.
"Yes." Mia nodded her head.
Mia took her seat and started to have her breakfast.
"Aunt Luci did you had your breakfast already?" Mia asked.
"Not get Ms." Aunt Luci replied to Mia.
"Good. Then come and join me." Mia said after taking a mouthful of soup.
Aunt Luci shook both of her fist and tried to deny," No, Ms., It's alright."
"Why not? Eating alone is really boring." With making a pouty lips Mia said.
" But you are my master's wife, how can I.." before aunt Luci could complete her words Mia interrupted her.
"So what? And don't worry aunt Luci I will never tell him about this." Mia assured her.
Mia really like aunt Luci, she is in her late forties. Mia can see a shadow of her mother on her. Aunt Luci doesn't have any children may be that's why she treated Andrew just like her own son and she also good to Mia.
All among the workers aunt Luci is the humblest person and have a warm personality just like her mother. In just these few days they got along really well.
Aunt Luci couldn't reject Mia. So, she came and took a seat beside Mia.
"Last night when did master came back?" Aunt Luci asked after taking a spoonful of warm soup.
"Almost midnight." Mia responded.
"Today master was in a very good mood, after a long time I saw him this much happy." Aunt Luci said happily.
When Mia heard that Mr. Scott was in a very good mood from aunt Luci's mouth, the food was almost stuck in her throat and she started to cough. She almost choked to death.
Aunt Luci noticed this and immediately passed her a glass of water and started to pat her back repeately.
After a few seconds when Mia get stable aunt Luci relieved a little.
"Are you alright now?" Aunt Luci asked Mia to get sure.
"Yes. I am" Mia responded.
"Thank you, aunt Luci." Mia gave a sweet smile and said to aunt Luci.
"Please pay attention Ms. when you eat." Aunt Luci said worriedly.
"Anyway why did you all of a sudden choked like this?" Aunt Luci asked.
Mia froze. She doesn't how to answer aunt Luci, how could Mia tell aunt Luci that the reason why Mr. Scott was so happy today was a kiss. They shared a kiss last night. Actually Mr. Scott kissed her last night, that's why he was so happy today. Mia was looking at aunt Luci and thinking about all these in her mind.
Mia looked at aunt Luci and then said a little lie,"It sometime happens with me."
Aunt Luci blinked her eyes and said,"Is that so?"
"Ah..yes." Mia answered and smiled awkwardly.
"Then you should be more careful when you eat." Aunt Luci gave her advice worriedly.
"Yes I would." Mia nodded her head.
After a pause Mia said," Aunt Luci you don't have to be so polite towards me."
"But you are my master's wife." Aunt Luci said.
"So what? I don't like it at all. Mr. Scott may be like it but I'm not used to it."
"At least when only the two of us present don't be too polite." Mia said with making pouty lips.
Aunt Luci smiled and said," Master is really lucky to have you as his wife."
"You really think so?" Mia raised her eyebrows and asked.
"Yes of course." Aunt Luci nodded her head.
Mia thought it's the best chance to know about Mr. Scott, so she said," Why? Mr. Scott is a very famous person; he could get a way better wife than me."
"How so? You are the only girl who attract his attention in all these years."
"I was worried that he maybe not gets married in his whole life."
Mia became little shocked, although she knew about it, Linda told her about this.
"Aunt Luci you mean Mr. Scott didn't had any girlfriend." Mia asked aunt Luci with a shock tone.
"Girlfriend? Not even a single friend he had."
"He is a very much introvert person. When he was little, he was a very brilliant student and only passed his time with books."
"And now busy with his tennis practice and business." Aunt Luci said and shook her head helplessly.
Aunt Luci is a talkative person, when she starts it's hard to stop her. But Mia still like her.
