The Trial Marriage: An Unexpected Fate

CHAPTER 1

    When Mia regain her consciousness she saw the white ceiling then she got up quietly and trying to understand why is she here because it was a hospital room. When she was trying to remember how she ended up in the hospital she felt a cold gaze. Following the cold gaze she saw a man staring at her, their eyes collide and they looked at each other for few seconds before Mia restrain her sight.

     The silence of the room broke with the man’s voice “How are you feeling now?”

     After listening question Mia felt a slight pain from the back of her head which was neatly bandaged. She replied to the man with a polite smile “Better”.

     After getting her reply that man asked again “Are you feeling any pain or dizziness?”

     Although there was a slight pain she still shook her head as a reply and said “Not at all, I’m fine.”

     “Thanks for your concern.” Mia said with a polite smile.

      That man nodded his head and open his mouth to say something but he swallowed it back. The room became silent again, none of them talk it was really an awkward situation. Mia was feeling very uneasy. May be the man sensed it, he suddenly got up from the sofa and looked at Mia “Take rest then.” Then he left the room all of a sudden.

That man left the room but Mia still looked at the door for a few more seconds. Then she shifted her gaze from the door and only one word slipped out from her mouth "Strange!"

      The man was Andrew Scott a famous Tennis player and the only successor of Coscott Company which is the biggest and leading business company in this country right now.

       Mia don’t like to watch TV that much and also she is not interested in sports.

That’s why she couldn’t recognize Andrew Scott.

        After being alone in the room Mia was thinking about that man. She guessed something was fishy about that man but she immediately shook her head and decide not to think about this. That man saved her last night it’s not right to think ill of him. Then she touched her head which was bandaged and her face darken.

      Mia’s injury was not that serious so she was released from the hospital next day early morning just after a simple check-up.

       After that incident one week passed and Mia was living her life peacefully with her four-legged daughter Miran a Pomeranian dog. Actually, it was not her own dog though, it was her best friend Linda’s pet. Although it was not her own pet but the bonding between Mia and Miran was amazing. Her friend Linda was on a business tour that’s why Mia was taking care of Miran.

       But today Mia was quite busy from the morning because in the evening she has a blind date. Although she is not interested on this kind of thing but she can’t take it lightly because it was arranged by her best friend and the only relative in this country Linda and Mia also don’t want that man to look down at her.

       The time of the blind date was 7 O’clock. Mia was very punctual with time so she reached the place at 6.45 p.m. The place was a famous restaurant in this city. Mia was thinking who’s the man she’s going to date today who even book a famous restaurant just for a blind date. Linda didn’t tell her anything about the man.

       When Mia was immersed in her thoughts, she suddenly heard a male voice “Hello Ms. Swift.” Mia also stood up to greet the man but before she could say something she was all shocked by the man. Because it was him who helped her to deal with those attackers, it was him who took her to the hospital and accompany her the whole night in the hospital.

        Andrew noticed the puzzled look on Mia’s face and also understood what was she thinking about. Andrew didn’t change his facial expression and said with a faint smile, “Hello Ms. Mia Swift, I’m Andrew Scott.”

        After listening his voice Mia came to her senses and she also greeted him with a smile, “Hello Mr. Scott, nice to meet you.”

        After greeting each other they took their seats. Both of them remain silent. The atmosphere was really awkward. Mia was thinking if she should take the initiative to talk to him or not, but what she should talk about. Should she thank him for what he did that night. She thought it will be okay. This man is not seems like he will take the initiative to talk first.

        About when Mia was going to thank him, she heard “Let’s order for the dinner.” “What you’ll like to eat?” Andrew Scott asked Mia with his pleasant voice.

        So, Mia swallowed back her words and said, “Well, I’m not picky with food, anything will be fine.” Then Andrew called for the waiter and he started to order several dishes. He was busy with selecting the dishes from the menu book. And that time Mia was looking at Andrew.

        Well Mia was really impressed by Andrew’s appearance. Although Andrew is kind of reserve type, don’t talk much but his appearance is really good. He is very much handsome; every facial feature is just perfect. He is tall and steady and his voice..very pleasant but kind of sexy. He is really attractive. In Mia’s opinion Andrew deserve the tag of “Best Man”.

        Well the blind date didn’t take much time. Before leaving the restaurant, they exchange their contact numbers.

        At the end of their blind date, Andrew Scott offered Mia to give her a ride like a gentleman. But Mia turned down his offer immediately. It's the first time for Andrew that someone rejected him but still he didn't get angry or irritated on Mia at all. Although Mia rejected his offer but still Andrew didn't leave her behind. He helped her to catch a taxi. At this hour it's quite hard to find a taxi in this area.

       Anyway after Mia left Andrew also took his car and left that place. On the way back home Andrew's lips were hooked uncle Ben noticed it from the rear view mirror. It seems that Master is in good mood today uncle Ben thought.
