Walking back out of the pack hall there stands Lucy. She stood ready to go upstairs, my son in her arms. I walk up and grab her and him and just hold them.
"My darling, I can't believe it. We felt it with Jack. Do you know how? Josie and I went to get the children. I wanted to come into the hall, I'm not strong enough.". She's stuttering over her words.
"Shhh it's ok, baby I know." I hold her right against my chest feeling my shirt getting wetter with her tears. How strong she was when we killed her dad and locked her mum away, now she knows love it's made her weak. Not weak, it's made her loved and feel.
