The Broken Crown

There in a faraway land, where people enjoyed life, and what it had to give. The beautiful nature, the smell of wonderful flowers, and the wind blew in gracefully. It was the land of fruitfulness until disaster struck. One day the flowers never bloomed rather it died, the wind wasn’t blowing as it used to rather it blew in a harsh way, the skies darkened like its inner spirit has been awakened. The wonderful aspects of the land disappeared, and a new era begun. The alarm rang, Tyler who was enjoying his graceful sleep, was woken up by the sound of the alarm, his mom came in. ‘‘Tyler, get up, and get dressed you are going to be late on your first day of school’’ ‘‘I’m coming mom’’ Tyler said in a tired tone Tyler got dressed and came down stairs to have breakfast before the school bus comes. ‘‘You don’t want to be late on your first day of school don’t you, why don’t you eat fast the bus would be here soon’’ Tyler’s dad said as he came down with his bag ‘‘Yeah, dad your right and you don’t want to be late for your flight’’ said Tyler Tyler’s dad worked up to him and put his hand on his shoulder and told him ‘‘You have grown so big, and I am proud of that, now I would love to see how big you will go in life especially your studies, and I want you to do your best in school, and make I, and your mom proud’’ said Tyler’s dad ‘‘Come on the school bus is here, I will drop your father at the airport’’ Tyler’s mom said, as she grabbed her bag. Henry rushed, and grabbed his bag, and gave his dad a hug before leaving. He got on to the bus and looked for a seat to sit down, he came across some bullies who mocked him, and told him to do some silly things. A girl stood up, and scolded them and they left Tyler alone, she took him to a seat close to her and he sat there. He thanked her. ‘‘Thanks for helping me from those boys, what’s your name’’ ‘‘My name is Amelia’’ ‘‘My name is Tyler’’ The two talked till they arrived at school, the whole students got down and headed to class. Tyler was lost, and didn’t know what to do or where his class is, Amelia noticed. ‘‘You lost’’? ‘‘I’m new, I don’t know where am supposed to go’’ ‘‘Can I see you schedule book’’ Ameli said ‘‘it’s looks like you are in the same class with me, come on let’s go’’ Amelia grabbed Tyler’s and took him to class. Tyler and Amelia got to class on time before the teacher could come in. Tyler walked and looked everywhere as if he came from another planet, Amelia snapped him back to reality. ‘‘Tyler come on let’s take a seat, you can sit close to me’’ Amelia shouted Tyler sat down, and the boys who bullied Tyler on the bus came to the class, and started harassing a boy. They threw his books on the floor, and stepped on them. One of them saw Tyler, and they looked at each other for a second, and the boy walked to his seat signaling to Tyler that he will end him. Tyler quickly looked away. ‘‘That’s Caleb his is my ex- boyfriend, and he is a bully’’ ‘‘Wait a minute that guy was your boyfriend, what good aspect did you see in him, or liked about him’’ ‘‘When I met him, he was this sweet boy, and really smart. But as time passed, he grew distant and aggressive. He always bullied other people, and made fun of them. He also failed all his classes, and was rude to all the teachers. I couldn’t stand him anymore I gave him a lot of time to change, but he didn’t seem to care. So, I left him.’’ ‘‘For someone else’’ ‘‘No, I just couldn’t be around him anymore’’ Amelia face changed. Henry felt sorry for her, he looked at Caleb, and wondered if he really did like her. The teacher walked in, and everyone fled to their seats, Tyler was called up to introduce himself to the class. Tyler was nervous, because he hadn’t faced this kind of people, but Amelia encouraged him, and he stood up, and went. ‘‘My name is um…….um….’’ ‘‘Your name is um stammer boy’’ Caleb said mocking him ‘‘It’s actually Tyler Watson” ‘‘It’s alright boys. Thank you, Tyler we are glad to have you here, you may go back to your seat’’ The Teacher said Tyler went to his seat, and Caleb gave him a stern look. The class ended, and all the student went for break. Tyler and Amelia went to the cafeteria. They took their food, and was walking to a seat, when Tyler accidentally bumped into Caleb. The tray he was holding, flipped and the food poured on Caleb’s shirt. Caleb was angry, and grabbed and Tyler by the collar ‘‘Are you stupid or blind’’ He punched Tyler. Tyler lost his balance, and fell to the ground. Caleb came back at him, but this time a voice echoed in his head ‘‘Roll to the side, and get up’’ Tyler did exactly what the voice said. Caleb went to the wrong way, and fell down. Caleb was now furious. He ran towards him again. Tyler didn’t know what to do, the voice spoke again. ‘‘Don’t worry, I will take it from here’’ Immediately Tyler was a whole different person, Caleb came punching him, but Tyler kept blocking them. Tyler punched him in his stomach, and carried him, throwing him to the nearest table. The spirit that was in Tyler left, and everyone chanted Tyler name. His heart was beating, and, he felt dizzy. One of Caleb boys launched forward and delivered a hard punch on Tyler’s face, Tyler fell to the ground and fainted. Tyler woke up, and saw Amelia sitting close to him. ‘‘where am I’’ ‘‘we are at the school nurse’s office, you fainted after Caleb friend gave you a blow’’ [ he sighed] ‘‘Am a weakling, I couldn’t even defend myself from a fellow boy like me’’ ‘‘Are you crazy, you beat Caleb up. Do you know what it means, to standup to him. And now you’re wining, like a baby’’ ‘‘Really, I mean sure I beat him’’ ‘‘Don’t you remember’’ ‘‘Sure, I remembered, it’s just that my head hurts’’ Tyler was sent home, by the school nurse. he went home, to see some people gathered in his sitting room. He saw his mom crying, and rushed over to her. ‘‘Mom, what happened why are you crying, why are so many people gathered in our house’’ A man came over to Tyler, and his mom, it was Tyler’s uncle. Uncle James. ‘‘Your father passed away in a plane crash, am so sorry’’ Tyler heard this, his head was spinning, his ears were ringing. Tears welled up in his eyes, is looked at his mom, who was crying bitterly. He went upstairs, and shut the door hard. He sat on his bed and cried bitterly, using his blanket to cover himself. His uncle followed him upstairs, and consoled him. Few days passed, and they buried Tyler’s dad, the rain poured on them, heavily. Henry wore a black suit, why his mom a black gown. He looked down on his father’s grave, and placed a flower on it. Tyler went to a seat and sat down, the voice in his head echoed once more ‘‘You are now, the next leader and heir to the lost kingdom’’ Tyler couldn’t understand what the voice meant, and just snapped out of it, him and his mother with his uncle went home. In the car, Tyler still wondered what the voice meant.
