Chapter 13: Taking care of her

Leo pov

I woke up and found Anna missing from her bed. I got scared and was going to go out of the room to find her when I heard a sound from the washroom. I went near the door and focused on the voice, it was sounding like muffled sob making me panic. I tried to open the door but it was locked. I knocked on the door calling out for her. After some time she came out and I looked at her tear stained face and red eyes. Her condition broke my heart in thousands of pieces. I tried to comfort her when she suddenly hugged me. This hug gave me peace and comfort to my racing heart. I talked to her and made her stop crying. Today, I promised myself that I will do anything and everything to make her feel safe and happy. I will never let her cry again.

“Let’s go outside. Today, I will make breakfast for my princess” I said pinching her cheek.

We went in kitchen. And I started preparing Anna’s favorite food for breakfast that is ‘Meatball and spaghetti’. It’s her favorite since we were kids.

“Let’s go to the balcony. Weather is so nice today” I suggested taking our plates in my hands. We sat on the balcony and ate our breakfast.

“This is yummy, Leo” Anna said smiling.

Her smile automatically took a smile on my lips. I wiped the corner of her mouth using the napkin, smiling and shaking my head. She sometimes eats like kids. But I am happy to see her smile. After what happened yesterday, I was so worried because she is so fragile. I still want to kill that guy with my own hands but I want to stay with her. My friends took care of that problem and handed that guy over to the cops. I am not going to tell her anything because I don’t want her to be worried and get involved.

I was in my own thoughts when she waved her hands in front of me. “What are you thinking?” she asked.

“Nothing princess. Just thinking which move we will watch today? After all today is our movie night” I said playfully winking in her direction putting my hand on her shoulder.

“We will decide that later. For now I just want to enjoy this peace” she said putting her head on my shoulder closing her eyes.

“Your wish is my command princess” I replied kissing on top of her head.

After some time,

“So which movie we are going to watch today?” I asked Anna.

“I don’t know. Maybe something funny or fantasy” she replied with a thinking face.

“How about we watch your favorite movie. Cinderella” I asked her suggestively.

“Yesyesyes” she replied very cheerfully bringing smile to my face.

Cinderella is her favorite movie since forever. We sat on the couch watching movie. I looked at her face and saw a big smile. I am feeling happy to see my Anna happy. I wish she will always smile and I will do anything for that smile. ‘I love you Anna. I promise you, I will never let anyone remove that smile off your face’ I thought.
