I'm here already, and there's no turning back now. I have already prepared myself for this day. I promise that I will be the one victorious in this battle. I continued following the path towards the den of the first servant, the massive eagle. I summoned the Night’s fall and gripped it tightly in my hand.
I began to cast a spell of protection and enchantment that I have learned from Makiling. Although my protection spells are not as potent as Ester, this can still help me to defend myself from their attacks. I also noticed that the pressure was more intense that the last time I visited here. I don’t know the reason why, but I can feel that this is not a good sign.
Well, like I said. There’s no turning back now. As I approached were the giant bird was, the spiritual pressure got more powerful. It’s really giving me a hard time to breath, and it is like a debuff or a downgrade for my movements. I also saw that the swarm of the monsters began appearing from the ground, as if they were preparing for war too.
While I was walking towards the den, I began to cast my spell and summoned to ice orbs and directed them towards the enemy. I know that I will be outnumbered by these creatures, so the earlier that I can rid of this subordinates, the better it is. This will be an easy task if that happens. I commanded the ice orbs and It hovered above the enemies, and then began expanding. The air started to feel cold from my spell. The orbs began releasing ice shards and rained down on the crickets. One by one, the enemies disappeared into thin air. I can feel that every time I defeated one of them, another one will emerge.
I guess I have no choice but to do this.
Dance of the Moonlight!
My body began to glow and was infused with light energy. My movements began to be faster than usual. The enemies were confused because every movement I make, after images appeared. I hacked and slashed my way towards the center of the den. I notice that the giant eagle was observing my movements, not doing anything. As if she was calculating everything that I do.
I can see that she is being very cautious too. I must look for an opportunity on how I can break those onyx horns on his head. Based from the information that the animals gave me, the horns that she has was considered here core and the source of her power. The only problem was she was perched high above the ground and I don’t know how to reach her in that position.
The barrage of attacks continued from the Ice orb that I summoned, but the number of the creatures were not depleting. It’s like they were multiplying in a faster rate. I need to figure out on how to defeat this crickets first, because it is starting to be more troublesome.
I stabbed the ground using the Night’s fall and began to cast my spell. A huge magic circle appeared from the ground the moment that I began to speak the incantation. The sky darkened signaling the spell that I was using. Snowflakes began to form in the air, and slowly fell down on the ground. Everything that it touched began to froze. The giant eagle was smart enough, as if it cast a spell on itself, reflecting the incantation I used. One by one, the insects froze. The other’s tried to flee, scurrying all over the place but it was too late for them already.
After several minutes of activating the spell, the scenery changed. From the dead vibe that it gave off, the den looked like a winter wonderland now, everything covered in ice. The bird began to give off a loud sound, and it was very painful in the ears. I can feel her anger rising from this distance. Is this because of what I did with its minions?
The bird continued to give of this terrible sounds, as if it was attacking my soul. I began to sense that the giant eagle was getting more ominous than before. Its appearance began to change. The metallic color from before changed into black. Two heads began to protrude from its body, transforming it into a different creature. How do I defeat this things if I don’t know which of this is the real head.
Everything was getting complicated for me. I thought things will go smoothly, but the thing that was happening was the opposite of good. I picked up the Night’s fall from the ground preparing for the possible counter attack of this monstrous bird.
The bird shrieked and began flapping its wings, getting ready to take off. The wind created from its wings was powerful enough pushing me backwards. I covered my eyes from the gust that keeps hitting on my face. This is a really dangerous situation because I don’t have any idea what the next movements of the enemy where. I suddenly felt an ominous aura directed at me, but luckily I evaded it. This is what the animals told me about. It is using its feathers to attack me from this distance.
I moved backwards and noticed that there was an open space located at the east of the den. An idea suddenly came across my mind. I hope this works. I slowly shifted my body so that the enemy will not notice me that I was aiming for that empty space. I commanded the ice on the ground, creating a wall to protect me from the incoming attacks coming from the huge bird.
The enemy continued to attack towards my direction, and to make sure that nothing passes by, I tripled the wall that I created from the ice. It’s deflecting all of the feather attacks that the bird was throwing at me. I noticed that the spell that I am casting using the elemental attribute that I own was more powerful than before. I hurriedly moved towards the open space and the bird still did not notice. After a few moments of enduring the attack, I successfully reached the spot. I can hear the bird giving of those loud shrieking sound.
Now, it’s time for the counterattack.
I placed my hands on the ground and began casting the spell.
Oh fountain of life, let me borrow your strength,
Give me power that I need to vanquish the evil in front of me,
Grant your Judgement to those who go against you.
Oh, raging rapid fountain of life.
I hope this works! Please.
After a few seconds, the ground began shaking and created powerful tremors. I can sense that there was a great spiritual energy gathering underground. The shaking continued for a few minutes, then torrents of water erupted from the ground, hitting the bird from the air. The enemy flapped its wings violently, trying to evade the continued eruption of water from the ground. The continuous spurt of water was limiting the movements of the bird.
The bird continues flapping its wings violently until it grew tired and perched on the protruding stone from the ground. The bird continued to shriek wildly, as if it was calling for something.
The water started clearing after that violent shrieking as if she cancelled my spell.
What’s happening?
The wind began changing its direction, and the feathers that hit the ground started to float because of the wind. The feathers were like dancing in the air, and after a minute, it started to fly towards me. Everything was happening so fast, and I tried to deflect the feathers, but the pressure was too powerful, and I had no choice but to evade the attacks. This is really getting troublesome. I need to find a way on how to determine its head.
I summoned four orbs of ice and launched it towards the enemy. Ice shards began flying towards her direction but was easily deflected by the winds. The bird keeps on deflecting my attacks and nothing went through. I need to think of another way.
This time, I tried to close the gap between me and the bird. I created ice walls and connected it with each other creating a platform where I can jump in. I leaped on the platform, tried deflecting the feathers and closed the gap between me and the enemy. I cast my spell and bombarded her with the light energy. Again, the attacks did not pass on his defenses. I continued bombarding him with the attack to look for an opening, but still no use. When I jumped back towards the ground, I noticed something. I remembered the onyx horn that I saw earlier. It was brilliant than the other horns on the other heads.
I hope this works this time, and I hope my guess was correct. I need to think of a way to reach that spot or an attack that I can use to shatter the horn.
