Giant Snake

I hope my plan works this time. Please land a hit on the enemy. I concentrated my spiritual energy on my palms and pointed towards the giant bird. I focused my energy and began to manipulate the ice that formed on the ground.

Imagine Ayari! Use your imagination.

I closed my eyes and tried to picture the thing that I want to happen. I tried to create an image in my mind, which can hold and restrict the bird's movements. Slowly, the ice changed it shape and began protruding from the ground. Giant icicles started to form and was directed to the enemy. The ice continued to grow, creating a cage like structure, limiting the movements of the enemy. I continued focusing, creating the image that I want to achieve and slowly, the bird was locked up.

The bird was trying to break free but it was no use.  The more movements that she make, the more she is getting restricted by the Ice cage that I created.

Now this is my chance to defeat this enemy. Here goes noting.

Moonlight, gather your light around me,

Grant thy wish to annihilate the enemy.

Give me strength to tell what’s true from not,

Destroy those evil by your blinding light.

Listen, as I am the one that governs the Moon.

Chilling Moons Rage!

A massive magic circle appeared in the sky after I cast the spell. The surroundings grew bright, and the minions that were frozen earlier dissolved into thin air. The spell intensified when a huge beam of light fell directly on the evil bird. The evil bird cried in agony and kept on trying to get away from my spell. It was no use because the enemy continued to struggle, her movements were confine in the ice cage. My spell continued bombarding the enemy, and little by little, the enemy began to dissolve, as if it was being purified.

After a few moments, the enemy let out a final cry and then vanished into thin air. The air in the surroundings cleared up when the evil bird disappeared. If I continue doing this, I might be able to get rid of the miasma covering the Cordilleras. I already defeated one, three more to go plus the main boss.

It was already challenging for me fighting the enemy, and I was surprised by the abilities that they have. I was lucky enough that my high tier magic where able to hit the enemy. The magic circle from the sky started to dissolve together with the miasma surrounding this den. But after everything was cleared, there were still no signs of life from this part of the forest. I thought that once I defeated the enemy, everything will be back like from the shows that I usually watch. I was wrong, this is the reality that I have n. What’s happening to me might sound fictional to the others, but we never know what will happen.

I need to prepare for the next enemy. I don’t have much Idea about this venomous snake that the animals mentioned to me. I need to be more attentive and alert this time. Before leaving the evil birds den, I undid my spell and the surrounding that was frozen went back to normal. I mean, went back to what it looked like earlier before the fight. Still, no signs of life.

I began to walk slowly towards my next destination, the giant snake lair. To be honest, the thing that I really hate the most, I mean my phobia has something to do with this freaky reptiles. I really don’t like them because of this one incident when I was a kid.

During school time, everyone was busy playing together with their friends. As usual, I don’t have anyone to hang out with. I was an outcast, and nobody wants to talk with me. The only time that they will communicate with me is when they need something or they will make fun of me. One of the downside was I don’t know how to fight back this bullies before, that’s why I just let them do what they want.

One time, during our breaks, my other classmates decided to make fun of me by pulling out a prank. They brought a toy snake that looked like real, and tied it on my pants without me noticing.

One of my classmates tapped my shoulders, telling me that there was something underneath me. Thinking that it was real, I panicked and ran around the room. I believed that the snake was alive, and continued to run for my life. I just realized that this was only a prank when I hear everyone laughing, and even my teacher who just arrived that witnessed the scene. Instead of telling the kids, he also made fun of me, which really hurt my feelings. I thought my teacher will protect me, but it was the opposite of what I expected.

Now going back to the real issue, after that incident I developed the fear of snakes. Even by just looking at their pictures or even in books, it freaked me out. Now, I am thinking on how to face this giant snake without running away. This was really the one that made me worried the most.

As I am getting nearer the location of the snake lair, my heart began to beat faster than usual. If I just allowed Ingo to go with me, then I would have no troubles facing this snake. The ominous aura was denser than those of the evil bird. I can feel that I will really have a hard time dealing with this enemy.

Mayari, if you can hear me, can we switch places first? I don’t know if I can really face what I feared the most. Please, change places with me first. Well, I know that this might not be possible, but who knows.

The air around here was more suffocating than the exterior part of the Cordilleras. These factors really bother me, and of course, the presence of this snake enemy.

I don’t like snakes. I really hate them a lot!

But I guess I don’t have the choice and since I am already. Let’s me show them what I got.

I continued following the path and in no time, I reached the location of the second lair of the servants of Lobo. The place was covered with a mist, made from the haze that the animals mentioned to me. Before continuing towards the nest, I casted a self-protection spell to increase my poison resistance which I learned from Makiling.

After making all the necessary preparation, I headed towards the nest of the snake. I examined the place but there was nothing unusual except this fog that was covering this place. I looked around to check if there were surprise attacks, but luckily there was nothing. I can sense no movements at all. I prepared myself for the worst because I know how I would I react when I see the snake in front of me.

I gathered up all my strength and courage and continued walking in the nest. There was something off, there was no sign of the snake here, but I can feel the ominous aura. I don’t know but it is coming from somewhere. I took out the dagger from the dimensional storage and prepared myself for the incoming attacks. Still, nothing unusual. Unlike from the evil birds servants, they attack me without hesitation.  

Still, no sign of the snake and its minions. I heighten my senses, but I am not catching up on anything. This is really getting nerve-wracking. Show up now, snake or whatever so that I can finish you off already.

I tried to move to different location, but still, nothing is happening. Is the enemy playing with me? But I still have this uneasy feeling, meaning I have to stay alert. Still, the snake is not appearing. Well, I guess I have no choice but to make the first move to take them out from where they are hiding.

I closed my eyes and tried to locate the presence that I am feeling right now. Where could the enemy be? Is he taking a break or something. Still, no appearance. This is getting annoying already. Maybe the snake moved to a different neighborhood. I hope so, so that I will not be facing this enemy. I don’t really want to fight this snake, for goodness sake. I am getting a bit paranoid already.

Then all of a sudden, the ground began to shake violently, as if someone was trying to come out. Maybe, this is the one that I have been waiting for. The shaking continued for a while until a gigantic snake appeared from below the ground.

The hair on my skin started to rise just by the site of the snake. Of all things, why do I have to face this. Someone, I don’t like snakes! Help me.
