Guardian - Part 1

The next day, I woke up holding the locket that Mayari gave me. What could this be? Anyway, I need to follow her instructions. How can I find the other descendants? Also, people that worship Tala and Hanan are nowhere to be found. I need to gather more information before I set off for this journey. I should talk with our father. Maybe he can fill in the information that I needed. Also, I need to train myself more. After hearing that someone might assault me, I need to get stronger and cultivate my abilities. I need to do this as soon as possible. Later that day, I was called by Father to discuss all the things that have happened so far. This is also my opportunity to ask him about everything that bothers me. I hope he can help me. I should have talked to him before, but I was afraid that they might find out that I am different from the Ayari that they knew. I was scared if they found out that an outlander like me reincarnated to his son's body. I also thought about what happened to the soul of the real Ayari. Did we get switched? Or is he dead already? I arrived at the Mayari's Temple. Father was waiting there. Father is in his late forties. What was amazing is he looks young like our mother. His age did not match his features. "Father, I'm here," I called his attention. He faced in my direction and smiled at me. "Come here, Ayari." He said. I moved towards him. I bowed my head down as a gesture of respect. "You don't need to do that, I'm your father." He patted my head and let out a manly laugh. "Sorry for being so tensed". I said. "It's okay, son. You already know the reason why I wanted to talk to you. As your father, I am worried about you". He said. "I was surprised when Anan told me what he saw that time. I was happy that you finally have your very own spiritual energy, but the fact that you exhibit the attributes of a chosen warrior. I feel anxious. I want to protect the three of you from harm, but I failed. Especially to you, Ayari." Father said, his tears starting to well up. I understand him. His son, being powerless ever since he was born. Attacked by enemies, almost dying from the incident. Also suddenly his son manifested powers. "It's okay Father. I'm sorry too, for causing too much trouble to you, to Mother. Also, to everyone I love," I said. "I'm sorry if I can't still remember things. My memory, no matter how hard I tried, nothing is happening". I added. I bowed my head down again. I asked him a lot of questions, but most of them are the same as my sibling's answer. Regarding the two clans that were lost, he also has no idea to locate them. I told him that I had a vision that the Moon Goddess and gave me a special task. Of course, I can't tell him that I was called by Mayari in her domain. I explained everything to him. From the seal that was weakening up until locating the guardian and the relics. He told me that I need to set off at once and meet the oracle. Father said that the oracle can answer my questions. The oracle might also help me find the lost tribes. We both agreed that I should start my journey after the full moon. I bid goodbye to father and went back to my room. Anan and Ester were waiting in the room. Both of them asked me if what our father told me. I told them that I will be going on a journey to find the oracle. I also explained to them that I need to find the remaining descendants, as I am now considered as the Moon's successor. "Can't we go with you, big brother?" Ester asked. "I'm sorry, but Father told me that I should not let you go with me. I understand that." I answered. "Please, big brother," Anan said trying to convince me. "No," I said. "Okay, big brother," The two answered in unison. A few days have passed, and there will be a full moon tonight. As part of the tribe's tradition, they will be celebrating a harvest festival. Everyone was busy preparing the past few days. I was able to prepare for my journey. Father gave me a map and a new set of armor. The old one that I usually wear is worn out already. The linen was made from a special fabric that absorbs magical powers. The top is a vest with patterns of the phases of the moon. I was a bit shy because it exposed my abdomen. The blue and silver garment highlighted my well-toned body. On the back of the vest was the symbol of Bulan, our clan. Father also gave me a bow. He said that this is one of my favorite weapons. He had the bow enchanted from one of the village blacksmith. Honestly, I don't know how to use them properly. I am not an athletic type of person. As night came, everyone began the harvest festival. I heard everyone happily celebrating. Chanting and saying their thanks to Mayari and the other deities. I decided to stay in my room. I lied to them that I was not feeling well. I sat down near the window and took out the locket that Mayari gave me. Moonlight struck the locket, and it started to shine bright. The locket started to undo itself. I was shocked and dropped the locket. It's still glowing. A few moments later, the locket opened. A mysterious creature appeared from the locket. I can't explain it's appearance because it is still covered in light. It started to move and flew towards me. The creature started to speak. "Hello, my master." Me, master?
