The Angry Alpha's Mate

Chapter 2

*Savannah*

I woke up and got dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans, a black tank and my favorite color shirt a purple plaid button up buttoning just the middle and then threw on a pair of tennis shoes. I brushed my long red blond hair and pulled it half up letting my curls fall down my back and added a purple bow to it. I was about to open my door when a voice caught me off guard.

"Hello Savannah."

I turned around looking around my room for the voice. "Hello, who said that." When the voice responded making me jump.

"I'm not in your room. I'm in your head. My name is Ivory Snow and I am your feline. Now please turn around and look in the mirror and you can see what I look like."

I turned and looked in my mirror and staring back at me is a snow white tiger with striking blue eyes. A smile spread over my face as I realized today was my 18th birthday. I ran out the door and down the stairs full of excitement as I made it to the kitchen and ran headlong into my younger brother Luke. "Uuummff." I said as my air was knocked out of me from hitting Luke's brick wall stature. "Happy Birthday Sis!" said Luke pulling me into a big brotherly bear hug. "Thank you bro." I replied breathlessly as I tried to catch my breath from running into him and his bear hug.

" Hey sweetie, what you want for breakfast today? It's your birthday and since school is out we can stay in and make something or go somewhere." My moms voice came from the stove where she was fixing dads lunch before he left for his main office at the pack house. She stood about my height and had short slightly curly brown hair with red highlights that always looked spiked or disheveled but it always looked really good." Anywhere is fine but i could really go for some Ihop. I love their lingon berry crepes. Luke will you join us today or will you be hanging at Jay's today?" I ask since I hadn't had a proper meal with Luke recently. Jay was Luke's best friend and had known our family all his life." I think i'll tag along with you girls" He said referencing me, mom and Alexis our ten year old sister." Yay! Luke is coming with." came Lexy's excited voice from the table where her and dad were sitting." Sorry I cant join ya'll but I have some stuff I need to take care of at the main office. Also Happy Birthday Van! Be home by three I have a surprise for you." Dad says looking up from his book he was reading. Van is my dads nickname for me." That's ok Dad" I reply. giving him a huge hug.

" All done hun here's your lunch and I will have her back by three." Mom says kissing him" Let me grab the keys and my purse and we will head out." We walk out the door and get in mom's car. She leans over and puts a package wrapped in silver with a purple ribbon on my lap. I open it to see a gold heart necklace that has a purple gem and the engraving Tiger's Heart on it." Mom its beautiful but what does the engraving mean?" I ask her. Smiling she replies," It's because I am a tiger and you have my heart dear. There is even space for your mate to add his own engraving." She shows me. I hug her and we pull out of the driveway and mom starts talking," So your dad told me since your 18 now you get to go the pact party on Saturday at Silver Night Pack Manor and Alexander's personal quarters and that Alexander invites you to lunch with him at noon the same day. So after we eat we got go to get you 2 new outfits. One has to be a dress since the party is formal but the lunch is casual so you get to wear whatever." "Mom can I get a new outfit to for the party?" says my sister. "No, you are to young and you will be staying here. Doesn't Sara want to have a sleep over this weekend?" mom replies. Crossing her arms a little annoyed she scrunched up her face for a moment before saying" yes, I forgot about that."

We arrive at Ihop and get our table. Lexy orders a stack of pancakes with chocolate chips and a breakfast platter. Luke orders a burrito and 2 pancake breakfast platter. Mom orders two breakfast platters with add-ins to her eggs. I order lingon berry crepes breakfast platter and one to-go. We chat and eat our food and head to the mall to pick out my outfits. Luke goes off by himself cause he doesn't want to watch us stare at clothes. Mom tells him to be at the car no later than two-thirty or she was leaving him. I find a nice summer dress in dark green with purple flowers on it. It takes a bit but we find a dress that flatters me in a dark green that mom says will bring out the red in my hair. We then go get swim suits to replace our old ones and I find two I like. Mom looks at her watch and says we have just enough time to head home before I hang with dad.

We get back home at just a few minutes before 3 and I run upstairs to put my new clothes on my bed before meeting dad. "Van, you ready?", Dad calls up the stairs in an over excited but booming voice. I run out the door and down the stairs to him. "Yes. What's our plan" I say. " Well come out back and I will show you." I follow him out the back door onto the large deck. He continues down the steps and crosses the lawn to the woods.

We walk into the woods down the well worn running path and into a small clearing. Turning dad has a look on his face that makes me a little nervous. Clasping his hands together and slowly pulling them apart a spark appears between them and begins to grow. His voice comes out " This is called magic and runs threw my veins. I brought you out to here to show you how to use it as protection. Now concentrate and copy me." He puts his hands back together and pulls them slowly apart. I copy him concentrating. I feel something but nothing happens. He tells me to try again. We continue for about three minutes and I have finally created something in between my hands. " Good, now we practice hitting targets. To your left and right are some dummies. Try and aim at them now." I try aiming. The first one goes to just a couple feet in front. "Try again but a little harder on the push." I try again and almost hit the target. Once more and the target bursts into flames. Dad is excited and exclaims, " That is really good for your first time it took me a few hours before I even hit my first target. Continue practicing hitting the targets." I do so and fall short on one before I hit it then fly past another hitting a tree. By the fifth target i'm hitting them without much exertion. " Good job. Now we will try blocking. Aim at me 3 times and I will show you how to use the power to block." dad says. I do as instructed and watch as his hands move in a circular motion. I then copy his hand movements and I have a bit of a hard time blocking but manage. " Now we are going to try moving and attacking each other so you can practice your blocking and aiming." he says. After a bit we head back to the house for dinner. We plan tomorrow to let me pack till 3 we then do our last family run and to transform before finishing off the day with our final movie night. I am excited that I might find my mate this weekend.

I woke and dressed in my favorite shirt a green flannel with lace sides and some black jeans. I pulled my hair half up with two braids on each side leading back to the ponytail letting the rest of my hair fall down the back.

"Savannah, time to wake up. We are almost there." my dad says stirring me from my slumber. I wake up and my eyes grow wide as I look out the window at the beautiful landscape around me. Snow capped mountains and forests stretched as far as I could see. We pull up to a gate and the guard comes out. Seeing my dad he says" Welcome Sabre. I will let Alpha Alexander know you have arrived. Please follow the road to the right and you will end up at his manor." He goes and opens the gate letting us pass. As we drive to the manor I see multiple different buildings with signs stating there uses. One is the workout room, one is a swimming pool, one is a spa and one says weapons training, the last one says training grounds and outside I see multiple people fighting. We get up to the manor and its a beautiful building with 2 large turret looking towers on either end. We get out and walk up the steps to large wooden doors as someone opens the doors. As soon as they open a smell of rain in a forest hits me and Ivory starts purring causing me to vibrate and causes a smile to escape my dads somber expression.

Across from the doors as we walk in is the most handsome man I had ever laid eyes on. He has thick red black hair and a piercing gaze that draws me to him. Smiling I walk up to him and speaking say," Can I still call you Alexander or is it Alpha?" He looks surprised and stutters in response, " Aaalleexxx is fine with me Sssaaavvvaaannnnnaaahhh." Which causes me to laugh and respond." Ok Aaalleexxx. You can call me Van if you want but I dont remember you stuttering a few months ago. Which causes him to look sideways at who I remeber was his Beta Thomas. Straightening up and taking a deep breath he responds with" your right Van. My apologies between you and Xavier I was a little took off guard. You are even more beautiful now then you were a few months ago when we met and I must say that I hope you don't say no to being my mate even though we are from different species. However I will give you till Tuesday when your dad said he would head home to decide and once we've spent some time together and you decide that a wolf isn't in your best interest as a mate I will accept your rejection. I am hoping you choose to accept me as your mate." he finishes. I smile and say," I will accept you as my mate even though we are of different species. One we are hear to bring together so many different species of were it will give them something to look forward to and give them an example that we can work together even if we aren't the same. Two I was hoping to find my mate when I came to the party. And three I was hoping it would be him since i also found him rather attractive when we first met." As I finish Thomas walks up puts a hand on Alex's shoulder and says" Dam Alexander, she will make a great luna for you. She made a really good point about why we were throwing the pact party and even admitted she found you attractive when ya'll met.
