Chapter 8

*Alex*

I wake up and go to get off the couch and find Savannah already up making herself a cup of coffee. She had went to bed pretty quickly last night wearing just a long tshirt I had thrown her which showed off her amazing curvy legs. I get up and go to grab her from behind and she turns around at the same time which causes me to get a handful of her ass cheeks instead of hips making her giggle into my chest. Xavier laughs at me and i growl slightly. Savannah steps back and looks up at me her eyes still showing her sleep, "Why do you sleep on the couch instead of with me on the bed," She asks. " If I slept in the bed with you I would never be able to stop Xavier or myself from trying to mate you all night. As much as I would love to I also understand we need to wait till your ready." With a small frown she replies," Oh." Then looks up to me pulling me back in she wispers," I want you to sleep in bed with me tonight. I can't sleep well with you not being near me. Every night since I arrived i'm plagued with nightmares about you getting hurt or my dad or worse." There was a tremble in her voice making it sound like she was about to start crying. I pull her closer. "Ok, If you would like me to sleep with you I will. How about we go down for breakfast. We can eat with Thomas and Saphira. It looked like you and Saphira were getting along quite well last night while we were cleaning up from the attack. I'm gonna go after breakfast and see how the last survivor of the attack is doing and maybe get some information before lunch. Maybe we can do something this afternoon?" I say. " I would like that. I think I will read some more of that old Arcane book. I found some stuff about my family in it and would like to practice some of the spells later to see if I can do more than what I already know or what I did last night with the electric power that I had used. Can you take me to the green house after breakfast. I don't remember how to get there and would like to try a couple plant spells I was reading about." She says. "Sure thing. Let's get dressed and head down to breakfast I dont need everyone seeing what sexy legs you have," I say as i grab her hand and she blushes before I lean down and give her a very passionate kiss. We get dressed and we walk out the door.

*Savannah*

I'm running through the woods towards an orange glow. Behind me I hear screeching and branches breaking in the tree tops. As I run out of the woods into a clearing I see a manor on fire. In the sky above the clearing eagle wolves are diving attacking lone wolves on the ground. I see a large blue black wolf leap into the air colliding with one of the larger eagle wolves. I feel a sudden intense pain and awake from the vision like dream. They were getting worse and more frequent since I arrived here. Were they a warning of impending battles or what I wasn't sure. I stretch and get out of bed.

I begin making coffee and had drank about half a cup when I here Alex stirring on the couch. I sit my cup down and turn around to Alex grabbing my butt and my face being buried in his pleasant smell. I giggle and relax a bit. He growls at me and I step back wondering what that was about." Why do you sleep on the couch instead of the bed?" I ask a bit perplexed by him but also feeling relaxed with his arms around me. He replies," If I slept in the bed with you I would never be able to stop Xavier or myself from trying to mate you all night. As much as I would love to I also understand we need to wait till your ready." I frown at him as I relize I hadn't told him he could sleep in the same bed as me. Whispering," Oh, I want you to sleep in bed with me tonight. I can't sleep well with you not being near me. Every night since I arrived i'm plagued with nightmares about you getting hurt or my dad or worse." My eyes had begun to tear up and I noticed my voice had started trembling. He responds while pulling me closer"Ok, If you would like me to sleep with you I will. How about we go down for breakfast. We can eat with Thomas and Saphira. It looked like you and Saphira were getting along quite well last night while we were cleaning up from the attack. I love the sound of that and responding adding my own plans for the morning" I would like that. I think I will read some more of that old Arcane book. I found some stuff about my family in it and would like to practice some of the spells later to see if I can do more than what I already know or what I did last night with the electric power that I had used. After breakfast Alex shows me to the greenhouse and leaves to his meeting with the eagle wolf in the dungeon. I find a clear area with a bench. I grab a small potted plant and sit down flipping the book open to one of the pages I had marked. I follow the hand movements showed in the book to try a growth spell and after about ten minutes succeed in growing the little plant a few inches. I then try speeding up its growth to make it bloom and another ten minutes finally succeed at that. The harder spell was reverse growth and took me thirty minutes before i could reverse the growth of the little plant. I practice plant magic for about an hour on various plants once I got the hang on the small plant. At about ten o'clock the man who delivered sweet tea the day before arrived with a tray. He tells me that he brings scones, muffins, and a mixed juice drink. He bows and begins to leave when I ask him his name. He responds his name is Roosevelt and he works as a butler since Alexander's birth. He bows again and leaves. I enjoy my brunch while I read more of the Arcane book. I get to a chapter about water control.

Well that is a weird chapter introduction I thought as I began reading how to control water on a small scale and practice to control water on a larger scale. I finished reading that chapter and came upon how to control storms and the combining of multiple powers to produce storms when a wolf comes up to me. A beautiful blue black wolf with glowing orange eyes. I look a little confused at the wolf who had decided he would lay his head on my lap. I started petting his fur and as I smell the scent of a forest during a rainstorm and realize that the wolf was Xavier Alex's wolf. The wolf looks up and licks my face and I hear Ivory telling me to let her takeover and I do and she immediately shoves me to the back of my mind closing off everything.

*Alex*

I had spent the past three hours having a very good non-torture session with the eagle wolf that survived the attack last night. He told me his name was Sabastion and since I kept my promise he would trust me and even join our group. He even found his mate this morning when Lyanna helped Gabby bring his breakfast. The young bear cub had found him charming and different and had stayed by his side refusing to leave even when we tried to explain to her that we just wanted to talk and he would not be injured. She stayed the whole time holding his hand which somehow had caused the wounds he had sustained in the battle to start healing quicker and by the time our talk was up the only thing that wasn't healed was his hand which Kimberly had placed in a cast after rebreaking it this morning. She came in before we left to change his dressings and was surprised that just holding his mates hand had made his healing that much faster however the bones would still take at least a week to heal she told us. After I leave from the dungeon, Thomas asks about what we should do involving Sabastion. I say we put a guard on him but I would like to initiate him into the pack since Lyanna had wanted to stay with our pack giving us extra strength and Beithir said he would be on call when ever she needed him but would be fine with her staying here. Thomas heads to find Saphira who had told him she would be in the library reading when we were done. I head to the greenhouse to find Savannah. I walk into the greenhouse and Xavier takes over without warning and shreds my clothes. I watch completely out of control as he follows Savannah's scent to a clearing. He walks over to her and she lifts her head from her book and we see her look confused at us. Xavier lays his head on her lap and she begins petting our fur and Xavier reaches up and licks her face a small wag taking his tail as he marvels at the sweetness of her skin.

She stands up and we back up a moment as we see her clothes rip off and white fur spreading over her skin. A few moments later standing in front of us is a white tiger with striking blue eyes. Xavier steps up to her nuzzling her before he turns and they walk out of the greenhouse and across the lawn to the forest before I lose sight. I was alone in the back of Xavier's mind unable to see what they were doing. Hoping that in all the world that he kept her hidden she was the rarest of the cat breeds and her being a magic user made her even more rare.
