I stood in the courtyard of my room, viewing the pool. I inhaled deeply the crimps morning air with a smile on her face. As the voice from last night dropped in my mind, the smile on my face disappeared, and my mind raced with questions. Who had whispered those words to me? And what did it mean? I sat on the couch frozen in fear.
I was deep in my thoughts when Andrew entered my room.
“I’m taking you to the charity gala today. It is one of the prestigious gala in town,” he said as his deep voice made me snap out of my thoughts.
He sat on the couch beside me in the courtyard. He took the strands of hair in my face to the corner of her ear.
My heart sank. I didn’t want to go to the gala. But i knew I had no choice.
“That sounds lovely,” I said, trying to sound cool.
Andrew smiled, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “I knew you’d be excited,” he said. “ Get ready by 2pm,” he said, handing over a customized bag containing a dress and jewelry for the occasion.
I gave a deep sigh. My mind was heavy, I needed someone to talk to. I picked up my phone and put a call through to Benita.
“Hey dear, have been meaning to call you but I gave it a second thought not to be a distraction to you,” Benita said.
“Hey,” I responded, my voice below a whisper.
“Amanda, what’s wrong?” she asked, her voice full of concern. “Did anything happen?”
I kept quiet for a while, then inhaled deeply before i could talk.
“Last night I heard a strange voice with awkward words, and when I looked round there was nobody in the room with me,” I said, my voice shaking.
“Amanda, I feel you are overthinking things. You have to take things easy on yourself. Please, calm down, and don’t stress yourself over nothing,” she said.
Benita tried to cheer me up. After a brief discussion, I hung the call. My mood brightened up a little after speaking to Benita.
I was dressed in a red stunning gown, my hair was well-styled in a ponytail and my makeup was light. She looked like a million bucks, but i felt empty.
I was in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection when Mrs. Vivian informed me Andrew was waiting for me.
“I don't like being kept waiting,” Andrew said with a frown on his face as I emerged.
“I’m…” I was about to apologize when he left for his car.
As we arrived at the event, I was hit with a wave of camera flash. I felt like I was being swallowed up by the paparazzi. Andrew took my hand, leading me through the crowd.
He walked me to an empty table and pulled out a chair for me to sit. Amanda sat down, and my eyes scanned the hall, which was well-decorated. A young lady came to the table, greeted us, and served us wine.
Andrew was called upon in recognition and also to give a speech. He stood up from his seat and walked down the hallway to the podium.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Tonight we gather not just to raise funds but also to change lives because every act of kindness can change a life. Together we can make a difference!” he said with a smooth smile.
Everyone in the hall applauded him and he walked back to his seat. On getting back to his seat, he heard a man standing in front of the table complimenting me.
“Hello, you look beautiful. I love your hair, is it tinted? The man asked, staring at me with a smile on his face.
“Thank you. It's my natural hair” I responded.
Andrew’s fist clenched, his face twisted into a mask of anger as he walked to the table.
“You shouldn't be smiling at any man except me. I own you.”
He grip my wrist tight as he drag me out of the hall to the car.
Andrew and I drove home in silence. I wanted to explain what happened at the event to him but I felt like i was walking on eggshells, never knowing when his temper would flare up again.
After the car was parked in the garage, he gripped my arm and dragged me. I felt a surge of fear through my veins. Where was this going? What would he do next?
He took me into his bedroom and locked the door behind him. My eyes widened in fear. I thought of being hit by him but that didn't happen. His eyes changed as he gazed at me. He was gentle with me as he led her to the bed.
“I want you,” he whispered, fear coursing through my veins.
He moved close to me, his breath brushing through my neck as he kissed her. Before I could say a word, he leaned and kissed me softly. I wanted to push him away but I couldn't because they were married.
My body trembled from his touch. It was my first time.
He kissed me deeply, his finger running through my neck to my breast. He held my breast tight, then he used his finger to twist my n****e softly.
His tongue savoured my lips and I followed every of the lead he made, especially when he kissed the lower part of my lips. Suddenly he stopped kissing me and wanted to stand up.
“What happened?” I questioned, pulling him back to myself.
He didn't respond instead he leaned back and kissed me deeply, he moved gently to my neck then to my breast, and he used the tip of his tongue to tickle my n****e. I moan and held his head tight as he sucked my n*****s. He savored my soft skin and spread my legs apart. He wanted to enter into me then he realized it was my first time. He looked at me and thrust his manhood inside me. I grimaced in pain as he penetrated.
He rolled to the other side of the bed, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
“Your body has just paid for flexing with another man,” he said with a twisted smile.
