Episode One: A New Job
Julius, accompanied by his imposing entourage, entered Jasper Martinezâs office with a confident stride. âGood morning, boss,â he said, his deep voice echoing through the room. The men beside him bowed in unison, their faces expressionless. Jasper, seated behind his massive desk, barely acknowledged the greeting. His piercing gaze fixed on Julius. âHave you found the right person for the job?â he asked gruffly, his voice devoid of warmth. Julius hesitated before responding. âNot yet, sir. But Ace knows someone capable.â Jasperâs eyes narrowed. âWhereâs that brother of mine?â
Ace, a tall, slender man with a mischievous grin, sauntered into the office, his eyes gleaming with amusement. âHere I am, brother. Whatâs up, bro?â He took a seat, his long legs stretching out before him. Jasperâs expression turned stern. âDonât you know how to greet the Don, Ace?â Ace shrugged, unfazed. âBro, if it were up to me, you wouldnât be the Don. Youâre not exactly⊠strong.â He said with a smirk, his eyes glinting with mirth.
Jasperâs face darkened, his anger palpable. âWhatever. Tell me who this person is.â Ace stood up, a sly smile spreading across his face, and clicked a button, revealing a photo of a stunning young woman. âSeriously, Ace?â Jasper exclaimed, his voice laced with disbelief. âA girl?â Ace chuckled, his eyes glinting with pride. âYes, a girl. Alexandra. Sheâs an assassin, and Iâve seen her work. Heartless, soulless, and namelessâthe perfect person for the job.â
Jasper's confusion was evident. âWhat do you mean?â Ace settled back into his seat, his expression turning serious. âAlexandra is a force to be reckoned with. Iâve had the pleasure of working with her before. Sheâs⊠fearless.â He nodded, locking eyes with Jasper. Jasperâs gaze lingered on the projector screen, his mind racing. âAnd how do you know her?â Aceâs eyes clouded, his voice taking on a hint of vulnerability. âWhen Father kicked me out onto the streets, she was the one who helped me. Trained me. Sheâs the reason Iâm still alive today.
The two brothers exited the office, entering a sleek black Bentley that glided smoothly out of the compound. Meanwhile, Alexandra walked down a bustling street, her eyes scanning the crowd with a practiced air of caution. When a car sped by, she glared after it, her hand instinctively reaching for the daggers hidden beneath her coat. âAce!â she exclaimed, her face lighting up with a radiant smile as she spotted her old friend.
The two shared a warm embrace before Ace introduced her to Jasper. Alexandraâs gaze narrowed, her eyes sizing up the man before her. âThe dead nut jobânice to meet you, boss,â she said, her voice laced with sarcasm as she extended a hand. Jasperâs eyes crinkled at the corners as he shook it, his grip firm. âLikewise.â As they drove to a fancy restaurant, Jasper explained the job: stealing the secrets of the De Mundo family.
Alexandraâs eyes widened, her expression incredulous. âYou want me to steal from the De Mundos? Thatâs a deathtrap!â Aceâs eyes mirrored her concern. âBro, what are you thinking? This is suicidal!â Jasperâs face remained impassive. âIâm willing to pay 2.5 billion dollars for the job.â Alexandraâs gaze locked onto his, her voice cold and calculating. âMake it 5 billionâand weâll talk.â Jasper nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. âAlright. 5 billion it is.â As they finalized the details, Aceâs eyes lingered on Alexandra, his expression a mix of worry and admiration. âBe careful, Lexa. This oneâs a long shot.â
