Episode One: A New Job
Julius, accompanied by his imposing entourage, entered Jasper Martinez’s office with a confident stride. “Good morning, boss,” he said, his deep voice echoing through the room. The men beside him bowed in unison, their faces expressionless. Jasper, seated behind his massive desk, barely acknowledged the greeting. His piercing gaze fixed on Julius. “Have you found the right person for the job?” he asked gruffly, his voice devoid of warmth. Julius hesitated before responding. “Not yet, sir. But Ace knows someone capable.” Jasper’s eyes narrowed. “Where’s that brother of mine?” Ace, a tall, slender man with a mischievous grin, sauntered into the office, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “Here I am, brother. What’s up, bro?” He took a seat, his long legs stretching out before him. Jasper’s expression turned stern. “Don’t you know how to greet the Don, Ace?” Ace shrugged, unfazed. “Bro, if it were up to me, you wouldn’t be the Don. You’re not exactly
strong.” He said with a smirk, his eyes glinting with mirth. Jasper’s face darkened, his anger palpable. “Whatever. Tell me who this person is.” Ace stood up, a sly smile spreading across his face, and clicked a button, revealing a photo of a stunning young woman. “Seriously, Ace?” Jasper exclaimed, his voice laced with disbelief. “A girl?” Ace chuckled, his eyes glinting with pride. “Yes, a girl. Alexandra. She’s an assassin, and I’ve seen her work. Heartless, soulless, and nameless—the perfect person for the job.” Jasper's confusion was evident. “What do you mean?” Ace settled back into his seat, his expression turning serious. “Alexandra is a force to be reckoned with. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her before. She’s
fearless.” He nodded, locking eyes with Jasper. Jasper’s gaze lingered on the projector screen, his mind racing. “And how do you know her?” Ace’s eyes clouded, his voice taking on a hint of vulnerability. “When Father kicked me out onto the streets, she was the one who helped me. Trained me. She’s the reason I’m still alive today. The two brothers exited the office, entering a sleek black Bentley that glided smoothly out of the compound. Meanwhile, Alexandra walked down a bustling street, her eyes scanning the crowd with a practiced air of caution. When a car sped by, she glared after it, her hand instinctively reaching for the daggers hidden beneath her coat. “Ace!” she exclaimed, her face lighting up with a radiant smile as she spotted her old friend. The two shared a warm embrace before Ace introduced her to Jasper. Alexandra’s gaze narrowed, her eyes sizing up the man before her. “The dead nut job—nice to meet you, boss,” she said, her voice laced with sarcasm as she extended a hand. Jasper’s eyes crinkled at the corners as he shook it, his grip firm. “Likewise.” As they drove to a fancy restaurant, Jasper explained the job: stealing the secrets of the De Mundo family. Alexandra’s eyes widened, her expression incredulous. “You want me to steal from the De Mundos? That’s a deathtrap!” Ace’s eyes mirrored her concern. “Bro, what are you thinking? This is suicidal!” Jasper’s face remained impassive. “I’m willing to pay 2.5 billion dollars for the job.” Alexandra’s gaze locked onto his, her voice cold and calculating. “Make it 5 billion—and we’ll talk.” Jasper nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. “Alright. 5 billion it is.” As they finalized the details, Ace’s eyes lingered on Alexandra, his expression a mix of worry and admiration. “Be careful, Lexa. This one’s a long shot.”
