A way back home

Life is hard. Noah Northenlights learned this since he was a small kid. Noah was born in a poor farmer family, in England.  His parents were illiterate farmers, however, they loved him very much. The coming of the 21 century was a hard time for Noah and his family, the new technologies and the quick advance of the sciences had a huge impact on the price at which his parents sold their products. When Noah was still at school, he always fell asleep in class, not because he was lazy but he had to help his parent on the farm, which left him exhausted. Although his father insisted that he didn't need to help, he wasn't in his optimal condition, his back hurt more by each day. When Noah turned 10 years old, he had to replace his father as the chief farmer. Although Noah was still a child, he matured faster than everyone in his class. He also became aware of how important studies and money were. He didn't remember how many days he went without sleep to gain a scholarship so his parents didn't need to worry every month about how to pay the fees of his school. Noah studied hard each year. Although he had some friends, he couldn't really hang out with them because of work and study. It would a lie to say that Noah didn't feel sad about it, however, he knew that it was all for a better future. When he turned eighteen, he finally managed to enter Cambridge University, there, he met his mentor who let him decide which career he would follow. "Noah, you already surpass this old man in the study of hieroglyphs, this old man feels proud of you" Said a man with a white beard. "What are you saying teacher Lockheart, I still have a long way to go"  "Please, we are already fellow historians, just call me Alfonso"  At the age of 28, Noah managed to find a good job at the Center of History and Nature in the USA. "Son, are you really going so far?" Asked a beautiful woman with wrinkles on her eyes. "Mom, you and dad should come with me! Why are you so stubborn old man!?" Said Noah while looking at the tanned man sitting on his couch. "Son, you know that I will not love more than being with you, but I can't abandon the farm, it's my home" Said the tanned man with a silly smile. "And it's my too, however..."  The tanned man grabbed his cane and walked towards Noah. He grabbed his shoulder and said with a candid smile. "You finally managed to acquire the job of your dreams, go and fight for what you want, don't worry about your old man, I am still young and healthy!" Noah and his family celebrated like never before, he said goodbye to his parents. When he was at the airport, his father put a small piece of paper in Noah's pocket. At the plane, Noah took out the paper. Inside, there was a photo of him and his parents. And some letters were writing on the paper. 'Your life is only yours' Noah smiled and kept the picture in his pocket. ........................................................................................................................................................... WOA or also known as War of Ancients was the most popular game nowadays, it was a classic MMORPG that let you choose a hero from a faction, Stellar or Constellar, and fight in 5 vs 5 matches. Noah wasn't that interested in it at first, however, when some friends at work insisted that he should play, he gave it a try.  To his surprise, he discovered that the game was really fun, and, what's more, he was pretty good at it. "Ahhh! it's not fair Noah! Your fingers moved too fast!" "Yeah! those born with talent are really different"  "What talent? is just that I take practice seriously" Said Noah with a laugh. It has been two years since he came to USA and Noah was having fun with his friends. He moved his fingers fast while his character on the game, which had a white cape and a long wand was launching spells at an incredible speed. "Practice? come on Noah, with just practice you become rank 2nd in the whole America region and 10th ranked in the whole world!? I have been playing this game for five years and I am still on wood rank!" Said one of the characters fighting alongside Noah. "It just that you are missing some fingers dude!" Said Noah while laughing. "f**k you!" The match ended and Noah's team won. He stretched and looked at the time. "Noah! let's play another match!" "Sorry dude, gotta work" Said Noah. "Oh? you are on night shift tonight?"  "I asked for it, there are some hieroglyphs that I am interested in" "Working as hard as always, a cheer for you~"  "Haha, see you tomorrow" Said Noah "Aye Aye sir~" Noah turned off his computer and put on his work outfit. He looked at the picture near his desk and smiled. "I am going"  Noah was about to leave his room. [Hehe, Young man] [Not so fast] Noah froze on the spot. "..." He turned and saw that no one was in the room. "Am I too tired?" Though Noah. However, something inside Noah told him that he wasn't hallucinating, after all,  the cold and sinister voice he heard was still resounding on his head. [Someone with a good head sure is reassuring] "WHO'S THERE!?" Shouted Noah. He looked at all sides and saw nothing! But, just as he was about to shout once more, he saw the black monitor. The darkness of the monitor scared Noah, who turned to the door. "I must escape!" He though. In a second, the darkness of the monitor expanded to all the room leaving only Noah as the only light on the room. Noah looked to all sides until he finally saw something that made him fell to the ground. A pair of red eyes were looking at him from above!
