Blaze POV
I think I'm done for the day you would think being the Alpha of a pack was all about training the warriors and being a bad ass but nope, I spend more time in my office doing house keeping. I have to keep on top of the pack expenses and make sure we don't spend what we don't have, ensure the money goes to the right places at the right time in the right amount, I have to go over the main reports from the patrol from my men, Keep in contact with our allies and make sure we are keeping to our agreements, ensure the wellbeing of all my pack members and ensure the two businesses we have are run correctly for the human rules as well. Im lucky to have the best Beta to help with this and he has his mate to help him but I haven't had a Luna to help me, I'm hopeful that Rain will want to take the position of Luna for our pack.
I left her in the hospital wing a couple of hours ago, the doctor had mind linked me to let me know she had not got worse from the long journey and was now asleep. I decided to fetch dinner from the chef and bring it to her. Yes our pack has a chef he is one of our pack members, Pack member have a choice of getting a job in the human world or a job in the pack.
I headed downstairs to the kitchen and saw Angelo by the oven "Hey Angelo"
Angelo turned around and bowed his head "Alpha what can I get for you"
"I don't mind what have you got prepared for dinner ?" I did not need to make his job harder by asking for something specific.
"I have lasagne ready for tonight I'm just about to get some out the oven would the be okay?"
"Sounds perfect can I get two portions to go, its for Rain as well she moved in today" I hadn't told many of my pack members that I found my mate yet but I did let the staff that worked at the pack house and the high ranking members about her.
"Oh yes how is she?" He started to spoon the lasagne into some takeaway boxes for me.
"She is fine, I hope I get to introduce you properly soon" He hands me the boxes with some cutlery and two bottles of water.
"Yes I hope I can learn all her favourite meals and I will cook a welcome dinner for her when she is better" He always loved welcoming new members with there favourite foods.
"I will find out for you, thank you for the food" I say as I head towards the hospital rooms.
I slowly open her door and enter the room she was asleep, but I guess the smell of food wafted over and she opened her eyes then her stomach grumbled. I tried not to giggle but her face looked so panicked and cute.
"Don't worry Rain you haven't eaten since this morning so its no wonder your hungry" I said as I walked towards the small table in the room and put the food and drink down.
"Yeah your right, doesn't make it any less embarrassing though" she got out of bed and came and sat at the table opposite me. This was perfect just her and me having a nice dinner together, it did not matter that we were in a hospital room I just loved being near her.
"Blaze I want to ask you an important question, I think I have held off knowing as long as I can?" Rain stared into my eyes as she said this.
"I think I know what you are going to ask, and yes I promise to answer you question, but only after we have had dinner, deal"
"Fine, deal" she looked a little irritated, I don't blame her with everything she has been through and all this happened so fast we really haven't told her a lot. We ate dinner in a comfortable silence, there was no need to talk we just enjoyed each others presence and the food.
"Okay now talk, How exactly are you going to save me?" I knew she was going to ask thing, I hope she can accept what I'm about to tell her.
Rain POV
I have put off asking this question and everyone especially Blaze seemed more than happy I did, to be honest I'm a little scared of the answer, what if it's just not possible.
"Okay I need you to listen and not interrupt until I explain everything to you okay" I just nod my head for him to continue.
"Since the first day I met you I have been looking for a way to save you, I asked the Elders of this pack to search through our history and see if another wolfs in the past had a similar experience. After 4 weeks of searching we found a way and I'm confident that it is the only way. We can save you if we change you into one of us ...." He just looks at me judging my reaction, I'm not sure how I feel, it never even crossed my mind that this could happen, I don't know what to think.
"There are some risks with this however, It's not common for human to be mated to wolf and it's even less common for the humans to become wolfs. This is because it's dangerous there is a chance the transformation will kill you and you can only be turned on the night of a blue moon" Blue moon is he serious, is that a real thing.
I take a breath and start to think "Okay why will turning me into wolf save me, assuming I don't die trying"
"Wolfs are blessed by the moon goddess we can't get ill we can be poisoned by silver and wolfsbane and if we sustain enough physical damage we can die but, we heal quick and we can't get ill" he said trying his best not to confuse me.
"Okay but what's a blue moon and when is the next one, I'm guessing they are not common" I have never heard of one except when you say once in a blue moon.
"Well a blue moon is basically and extra full moon in a year, normally there are 12 full moons in a year but every 2 or 3 years there is an extra full moon thats the blue moon. We are very lucky as the next one is in 7 months"
"7 MONTHS, I ONLY HAVE 8 LEFT !!!"
