Chapter 2

Rain POV

Its raining today which means there is no hope of me getting out of this room today, damn. I was hoping that it would be lovely sunshine and I could then sweet talk Dr.Hoop into letting me out in the garden for at least an hour. My door opens waking me up from my day dream. "Rain how are you feeling today" I just give him my sulky face and look out my window.

"I know that look did you want to go to the garden" This makes me snap my head to him with hope in my eyes.

"Im sorry Rain you know the deal if it's not nice weather you can't go out, you would only make yourself more ill" I huff at that, why would I care I'm dying anyway.

"Dr.Hoop what's the point I'm dying either way, why not let me do the thing I enjoy" I plead with hime and give him my best puppy eyes.

"Rain you know those eyes will not work on me and I have a duty of care for you as your doctor I can't let you make yourself worse, I'm sorry" He gives me the look, this is the look he gives me when the conversation is over. He walks to the end of my bed and picks up my charts, I could never understand them even with Dr. Hoop trying to teach me.

"Hmmm have you been getter more dizzy spells lately Rain"

"Yes and I have also started to feel colder than normal along with some queasiness" I knew I was going downhill but the thing that Dr. Hoop would not say was how long I had left, I guessed it was not long.

"Okay I'm going to get the nurse the change your drip and we will see if anything changes" oh fun more new meds, well if it can sort out the queasiness I'm not going to complain.

Dr. Hoop put the chart back after writing down the changes and started to leave but stope and turned to me "By the way the new owner will be coming around the hospital today to see what needs more funding and to speak the some patients about their care, if he happens to come by to talk to you, you could mention to him about having an indoor garden. I know it's not the same but it has got to be better than this room" with that he left.

I sat in my bed and though about it, an indoor garden would be nice I could spend lots of time in there reading. Thats my other interest I loved reading, I guess it was a way for me to experience the world I loved all books fiction and non-fiction. I had hoped when I was younger to be a writer I guess I could maybe write one book still but I haven't lived enough to write. I was told that to be a writer you had to travel about and experience a lot, the only experience I have is being here at the hospital, being at the orphanage and the half way house. I did not even get to go to school another reason I don't have many friends, I was home schooled instead.

I was just staring out the window thinking about my sad life when I heard a commotion outside my room, then suddenly my door burst open and there stood a man held back by Dr.Hoop and one other. The man just looked at me a shouted "MINE".

Blaze POV

Today was a miserable day it was raining and I had not found my mate when we were at the new town yesterday. "Alpha we should head out the the hospital now they are expecting you today" Zack tentatively said to me.

"Fine lets head out" I got up and stomped out the hotel and to the car, It was a black BMW very business like. I got in the back to see Matt would be driving, Matt is one of my best warriors and he was also mateless but unlike me he only turned 19 a couple of weeks ago so it has not been too long for him. Zack got in the front passenger seat.

"Good morning Alpha, Beta, are we going to the hospital?" Matt asked us both.

"Yes thanks Matt head straight there" Zack said.

We were about half way there when my wolf started to get twitchy, I should explain we wolf shifters are not like the were-wolfs humans know. We have a wolf spirit that shares our body each with their own name and personality, we can shift when we want or if we are too emotional. We also can communicate with our wolfs as well its like the mind link "You okay Lex" Lex was the name of my wolf.

"Yeah I'm fine I just feel something strange, I don't think its bad"

"okay well let me know if you figure it out" with that I cut the link and get out the documents about the hospital.

"Alpha we are here" Matt said waking me up from my reading.

"Thanks Matt, you can head off for a bit we will probably be about an hour and a half" I said as I got out the car, I looked back to see Zack with his head against the door sleeping. Oh time for some fun, I quickly open the door and Zack falls out as far as the seatbelt will let him.

"Bloody hell what happened?" Me and matt are laughing at him now.

"Blaze why would you do that, so unprofessional" he complained at me.

"Yes but so is sleeping on the job so consider that a warning" I say smirking at him. I turn around and start heading towards the hospital with a very embarrassed Zack. I get the the reception and see a woman staring at her computer, she has not noticed us, I cough lightly to get her attention. She looks up at me lazily, then she looks shocked when she see me.

"ccc-can I help you sir" she stutters. I know why she is like this another good thing about being a wolf is that we are all very attractive, don't get me wrong you have to keep yourself in shape but we are born with attractive features.

"Yes I'm the new owner and am here for the inspection today can you call one of the Doctors down to show us their ward please" I ask very politely.

"Sir would you not want the hospital director to show you around he planned the wards you would visit as well?" This is what I did not want, I want to see the truth I want one of the Doctors who works all the time to show me a no prepared ward to get the honest truth from the staff and patients not some pre-prepared script the director had given them.

"No I want one of your Doctors please and don't tell the director I'm here yet I will let him know" Through all this Zack has been looking round the reception and taking not of any changes to be made. She quickly calls down a doctor and we wait a minuet or two, then I see this mad walking to us in a white coat.

"Hello gentlemen I am Dr.Hoop pleasure to meet you" he extends his had to us the minuet I take his had I sense he is not human and then I faintly smell something delicious on him. My wolf is going crazy now begging me to get him to take us back to where he just came from.

I let go of his hand and ask him "Sorry to be a bother but would you mind taking us back to the ward you were just on" He looked at me puzzled but lead me and Zack to the elevator. We head up 2 floors and then out onto a ward he explains to us this ward is for terminally ill patients. As we are walking down the hall I smell the delicious sent clearly it smells like lavender and pine. My wolf is screaming at me to follow the scent and I start running towards it by this point both Zack and the Doctor are tying to get me to stop but I find the door and burst in. Then I see her "MINE".
