Chapter 3

Blaze POV

"MINE" I shouted, Lex was howling in my head with happiness, we finally found her, my mate. She was gorgeous, she had natural red hair like a sunset that was long, it came to around her waist. I could see she was small I wasn't sure how tall as she was sitting down, her sent was overwhelming I could off bathed in it. The most alluring part were her eyes they are a deep blue like the ocean with flakes of silver, I got completely lost in them.

Rain POV

Did he just say mine ? I don't know who this man was but he was super hot. He was tall, I would say 6'' at least and well built he look like he worked out. He had brown hair that came to just above the shoulders and a beard, not a long one but it followed the shape of his face. Then those eyes they where a beautiful forest green I loved them and there was a stage sort of pull I felt towards him.

Suddenly Dr.Hoop broke me out of my trance "Im sorry Rain this is the new owner..."

"Blaze" the hot guy interrupted "Im sorry to burst in on you" he said as Dr.hoop and the other man who's name I still don't know let go of him. "I asked Dr.Hoop to show me this ward and wanted to talk to some of the patients about what they think could be improved"

"Well Mr Blaze"

"Please, just Blaze" he interrupted me.

"Well Blaze, that fine but why did you shout mine at me ?" I am baffled by this, I may not meet people very often but I'm sure that is not how you greet another person. He looked confused not sure on how the answer me.

"Yes I'm terribly sorry I was ... t-talking about the room its technically mine as I own the hospital" I look at him stunned and I suddenly see the nameless guy facepalm. That has to be the worst excuse going but whatever if I can convince him to put in an indoor garden that will make my stay here that much more bearable.

Dr.hoop in an effort to ease the awkwardness interrupted us "Okay, Rain would you be okay with talking to Mr.Night and answer his questions ?" I guess Night was Blaze's last name.

"Yes thats fine Dr.Hoop" I answered.

Blaze Looked at the nameless man and both their eyes seemed to glaze over, he then look at Dr.Hoop "Dr.Hoop, would it be possible for me to talk to Rain while you show my associate Mr.Freed around the rest of the ward?"

"I don't see a problem with that, would that be okay with you Rain?"

"Sure I don't get to meet new people often so I'm okay with it" I know most people would feel uncomfortable to be left alone with a strange man, but there was just something about Blaze that made me feel safe.

Blaze POV

I can't believe I said that earlier about owning the room, I think Zack's reaction said it all, I was so glad that she was willing to be alone with me. As she is human she can't feel the mate bond in the same way I do, but it should still attract her to me. Dr.Hoop and Zack left and just as Zack was leaving he mind linked me "Don't scare her off Blaze"

"She's my mate I won't do that" I grumbled at him then blocked him out.

"So, what did you want to ask me Blaze" Her voice was so sweet I could listen to her all day.

"Well the first thing I would like to know is how can I make your stay here more comfortable?" A grin came across her face.

"I personally think that this hospital could use and indoor garden, I know we have a garden outside but for those of us who spend most of our lives here we can't go out when we are too ill. If we had a garden indoors we could feel like we were outside and free and not stuck in the hospital without putting our health at too much risk." That sounded like a good idea and I had noticed how the rooms looked small and simple as well, people spend long periods of time here we should make the room more modern and to be honest happy. We spent another half an hour chatting about the hospital and what could be improved, she loved to talk and I was more than happy to listen to her.

Dr.Hoop and Zack came back into the room followed by a nurse "Mr.Night I am sorry to drag you away but the hospital director knows your here and would like to meet with you" I hated the idea of leaving my mate but I should proberbly go meet the director. "I also need to change Miss.Winters IV" the nurse told us. Thats when it hit me my mate was in the hospital and ill, I was so caught up in the happiness of having found her I totally forgot, I quickly mind link Zack.

"Zack what did Dr.Hoop tell us this ward was for?" I hope he did not say what I'm thinking.

"He said it was for terminally ill patients" a look of panic overcame Zack's face. This was bad not only was my mate human and ill but she was dying, I have to find a way to save her I don't care what I have to do. I just found my mate I will not lose her. I decided then that I was going to cut this inspection short, I hated to leave Rain here alone but I had to get back to my pack and consult with the elders they may know of a way to save her.

"Im sorry Dr.Hoop I'm going to have to cut this inspection short, please tell the director I'm sorry but I will contact him to set up another meeting" I gave Zack a nod telling him to contact Matt to come pick us up, I then look to my lovely mate. "It was lovely meeting you and I hope to see you getting better and i'd like to speak to you again if possible?" she looked at me stunned.

"Um yeah sure I don't think I'll be going anywhere" She chuckled, but this just made me feel miserable. With one last look I left the room with Zack behind me we got into the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor.

"I contacted Matt and he is already waiting as he did not leave" I did not answer to lost in the though of my mate alone and dying.

"Blaze" I look at him "Don't worry we will talk to the elders and find a way to save her"

"I know" I let out a sigh "When we get back to the pack find out everything about her, I want to know all about her" I command him, this was not a request from a friend but a command from his Alpha.

"Yes Alpha" Zack bowed his head. With that we got out the elevator and into the car a started heading back to the pack. I hope there is something I can do, I will not lose her she is my mate, the other half of my soul.
