Chapter Thirty-Two: Crisa

Have you ever had an out of body experience? Like you knew what was going on around you, but you couldn’t wake up and respond to the people around you. I could hear Thane and process what he was saying, but I couldn’t get my body to respond so I could tell him that it wasn’t his fault. Thalia had come in to check on him and I heard her tell him that it wasn’t his fault she also told him that if I was awake I would slap him upside his head for blaming himself. Ten seconds later there was a loud slap echoing in the room followed by Thane saying, “What the hell was that for?”
Thalia just giggled and said, “she can’t give you the slap right now so I did it for her now stop blaming yourself. Nikita and I are going to get food for you guys. Before saying that you aren’t hungry just know that you will be eating and if you don’t I’ll make sure Crisa beats you when she wakes up.” I heard Thane mumble a yeah right while Thalia giggled and walked out the door.
I hadn’t heard Storm speak yet and I wondered if he was even here. Then again I didn’t even know where I was. I wondered if any of my family had been hurt and if so how bad the injuries were. From what I can remember Storm, Thane, Chris, and Tyler looked tired, but fine minus the bruises forming from the hits they received. Without all of them I don’t know that I would have been able to get my revenge and finally end it once and for all. My body was tired and hurting so I decided to rest my mind and wait until I wake up to get my answers. I slowly felt my body relax and drift off into a peaceful sleep.
I don’t know how long I had been out when I felt someone pick up my hand and kiss the back of it. When he finally spoke I could swear my heart stopped, but luckily a heart monitor didn’t go off so nobody would know. I could hear him blaming himself for letting me turn around to come back and begging me to wake up. He started talking about him and Thane taking turns sitting by my side so they could both rest. He told me how funny it was watching Thalia threaten everyone by telling them she would have me beat them when I woke up. Apparently it was extremely funny how quickly everyone did what she told them to after that threat.
I wanted to tell him that he wouldn’t find it funny if he was on the other end of that threat and what came with it. His voice changed to one of shock all of the sudden as he called my name and asked me to repeat what I said. All I could think was, “ did I say that out loud?” Storm answered with a simple yes and begged me to open my eyes. I struggled with opening them, but when they finally opened I could see that it was night and Storm was sitting next to me while Thane was asleep in the other bed.
I looked at Storm and motioned for him to come closer. He looked at me warily, but did what I asked and before he knew it I slapped him on the back of his head. He looked at me in shock and asked why I hit him. I gave him a once over before saying, “that was for blaming yourself for what happened. It wasn’t your fault and you couldn’t have stopped me.” At that a lady I didn’t know entered the room and she looked slight shocked to see me awake.
