Twenty minutes later the last of the troopers stamped their way off the bridge.
“Well that’s a relief,” said Sonia. “Now we know there’s no one on the bridge watching us.”
“I didn’t really think there was,” said Drake. “But I wanted to make sure we squashed that possibility. That kind of idea can quickly get out of hand.”
“I have to admit even I was a little spooked.”
“Too much time dealing with hellships and other crap like that. Jensen, any sign on the sensors we’re being followed?”
“No, Captain,” replied Jensen. “But that doesn’t really prove much. We’ll keep watching the sensors as closely as we can.”
“Good. Especially around jump points. That seems to have been when we had our best chances of spotting stealth ships before.”
