19 Three days later Drake was sitting in his chair on the bridge, massaging his head to try and ease the now permanent headache. Nothing seemed to help. Increasing the amount he slept just led to more nightmares fuelled by the Azimuth, and to more chances for the hellship to slip in real memories of his sister’s suffering. He was still struggling to come to terms with what she had gone through, and the hellship was greatly enjoying adding to that misery. Despite his best efforts he could feel the crew’s thoughts and feelings almost all the time now, sometimes as individual threads, but more often as a wave that threatened to overwhelm him.
