THALIYA POV
It's six in the morning, First day of school, but I feel tired. Its my day today B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y to be exact, I just lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling. What can happen to me on the first day? They say you need a plan in life, where do I start making a plan?
"Thali,Wake up, we're going to school early" si kleo habang kumakatok.
"Okay, I'll go downstairs later, I'll just take a shower first"
"Okay, hurry up, have breakfast first" bago umalis.
I hurriedly got up and took a shower, I also arranged my things to take to school before going down, and they are already eating breakfast.

"Have breakfast first, it's too early to go to the University right away" si malliyah, nag babasa ng dyaryo.
"Ganyan daw pag patanda na mahilig magbasa ng dyaryo" biro ko at sinamaan na ako ng tingin nito.
"Silly, spring chicken" she said, and they all laughed happily ever after.

"say that kid, 19 years old" bawi nya.
"Who said that I'm only 19 years old?"
Did they forget? after all, I didn't celebrate my day, so it's fine. I just noticed that Rain wasn't here, maybe she went home. I was quietly eating breakfast while they were watching me.
"Are you guys done watching me? we have a tv if you forget." Turan ko.
Whats wrong with this people, Nakakatuwa bang pinapanood? Ang awkward kaya, lalo sanay ako kumain sa kwarto mag isa.
May pumasok naman sa pintuan at iniluwa nito si rain na nakangiti.
It threw something at me and just before it hit my face I immediately caught it.
"Tangina mo talaga kahit kailan" sambit ko, nagpipigil naman ng tawa yung mga katabi ko.
"Iyo na yan" sambit nya bago umupo sa hapag.
"Susi? Anong gagawin ko dito?" Tanong ko.
"Saksak mo sa likuran mo baka sakaling umandar ka" she rolled her eyes on me "malamang para sa kotse" pahabol nya
"Anong gagawin ko sa susi ng kotse?"
"Lord bigyan mo pa po ako ng mahabang pasensya" si rain napahaplos na sa mukha.
"Labas ka try mo don" si kleo
Nung pinindot ko yon, tumunog yung isang sasakyan.
"Y-yung kotse? Audi R8 Spyder?" Nagulat kong sambit.
This is one of my favorite car, na if I already had money I would buy it, Daddy wanted to buy it for me before but I said..When I have a favorite, I want to save up to buy it for myself. That's why he didn't buy it, I guess he wanted to tease me, he just bought an Audi rs6 avant, na it's also my favorite.. I miss mom and dad so much.
"Oo congrats magiging driver na kita" biro nya na ikinasimangot ko naman.
"Saiyo talaga yan, Happy Birthday strong lady" bati nila.
I hugged them because my tears were about to fall, Hindi ako pala iyak e. Kaya ko itago lahat ng emosyon na meron ako. They are the only ones who can make me cry, so sometimes I get annoyed with them because when they are with me I can't hide my feelings. Feel ko ang gaan ng pakirmadam ko tuwing nanjan sila sa tabi ko.
"Don't cry, diba dapat masaya ka kasi birthday mo, ngiti na.. kung ano man ang nakaraan sa araw na ito na nakakasakit sayo, hindi nito kayang tangayin ang ngiting gusto namin nakikita saiyo lagi" si kleo.
"Thankyou" turan ko.
"Make a wish" si malliyah na may hawak na cake.
my wish is, I hope I can find how to be happy for the second time, I wish the old joy would return that cannot be erased, the joy that will never be lost... To stay strong and feel no sadness. I hope that the people who are important to me will not leave me again, the people who are around and are always there to support me. I wish I can be free... free like the birds flying freely.
I didn't realize that the tears hidden in my eyes had fallen, while saying my wishes to the candle.
"Happy Birthday again, our bunso!" Sigaw nila.
"Mamaya na tayo mag celebrate ulit ha, Kailangan muna natin pumasok." Si kleo.
We arrived at the University right on time, but I sent them first to their block, because I was going to the library to get the book I rented. I didn't buy books I don't have any money yet.. I don't want to take my savings naman from my BC because it's for ano.. yon basta yon I only rent because I need to save money for something important, the end.
I looked at the time and I was late so I quickly went to our block, when I got there our professor was already there.
Almost of myy classmates looked at me when I opened the door,especially
our professor who almost met her eyebrows when she landed her look at me... Gosh so embarrassing thaliya.
Shit 5minutes late.
"Are you my student?" Tanong nya with accent.
"Y-yes p-po" sambit ko nanginginig na ako e.
"Then, why are you late?!" Tumaas naman na yung boses nya.
"I went to the library to get something, I forgot what room I was in, that's why I'm late po" paliwanag ko.
"I don't need your explanation" turan nya mala elsa let it go tone.
"di daw need pero tinanong" bulong ko.
"are you saying something?" Umiling nalang ako.
"You have to stand outside in front of the door for thirty minutes as your punishment!." sambit nito. Na ikinatango ko nalang.
Hinanap pa ng tingin ko kung saan nakaupo ang dalawa bago ako lumabas, walang ka reaction ang tingin ng mga ito kundi nagpipigil ng tawa. Halos ang iba din dito ay naging kaklase ko nung highschool, what a small world naman dahil andito yung dati kong crush.
After thirty minutes of standing here, my leg was shaking and I wanted to sit down and jump from the 3rd floor.
"I said in front of door, not in the middle of the hallway, i***t" turan ng babaeng nasa likod ko.
"Ay tae ng kalabaw" hindi ko sadyang sambit dahil sa gulat.
"Your mouth miss, Don't forget that your professor is in front of you." Turan nya.
"Maam, nasa likod ka po" biro ko.
Sinamaan naman ako ng tingin nito.
"Accept my sincerest apologies" turan ko sabay ngiti.
"apologies not accepted" sabay tumalikod "go inside" turan nya.
"Edi wag maam, maganda pa din naman ako" biro ko. Tongno inirapan ba naman ako.
When I entered, I just stood here in front.
"Introduce yourself" turan nya.
"Wazzup-pa-pa-parapapa chowking people!!! I'm Thaliya Deinliz Castuera" turan ko.
Napataas naman ang kilay nya "that's it?" She asked.
"Yes miss, Should I introduce my whole life? from my ancestors until now?" Turan ko na ikinatawa naman ng mga studyante.
Loh fake laugh, binayaran yung tawa.
"Shut up, find your seat"
Sakto naman na sa tabi nalang nila reese ang bakanteng upuan kaya doon ako nagtungo, for sure reservation to for me.
"Tongno mo talaga kahit kailan thaliya" mahinang sambit ni reese. Ngumisi nalang ako.
"Musta sa labas? Masaya ba tumayo?" Biro ni kleo. I rolled my eyes.
"Oo try mo bukas"
"Okay, since one of your classmate is late, who's feeling supervisor, I will introduce myself again" turan nung professor.
"Feeling supervisor ka daw be" biro ni kleo.
"Shut up" turan ko.
"Xheira Veileen Soler, your professor in Law course, I don't want to be called by my name, Instead call me by my surname.. Professor soler or miss soler." Paliwanag nya.
"And these are the rules you must follow, I don't want anyone late to my class, if you don't want to stand outside until my time with you is over... I don't want someone who do chitchat or noisy during my class...I don't want someone who embarrasses fellow students, be respectful to each one. Last, also don't want someone who violates my rules....do we understand?" Turan nya at sumang ayon naman kami.
"Since we are done with the introduction, we will vote for the officers. You will give the name of the person you want in a position and you will say if the nomination is close, okay?" Salubong pa din ang kilay nito "for president" pahabol nya.
Nagtaas naman yung isang lalaki ng kamay nya para mag bigay ng name"Miss, I nominate Castuera for president po" turan nya na ikinagulat ko naman.
Napasapak nalang ako sa noo ko"what the f**k" bulong ko.
"I nominate Ms, Arniego po for president" turan naman nung babaeng malapit saakin.
"Gago, bakit ako? Ano yon maglalaban kami ng bestfriend ko? Talo na sya mas maganda ako." Si kleo, Natawa naman ako.
"Miss, close the nomination po, baka kasi inominate nila ako matatalo dalawa kong kaibigan" si reese.
"Kapal" sabay naming bulong ni kleo.
"Di ako magtataas ng kamay, ayaw ko kayo maging president" biro ni reese.
our score is a tie, so reese will vote for one of us to choose because she is the only one who didn't vote for one of us.
"Ms. Fuertes, since you are the only one who did not raise your hand in the polls, you will choose the president you want" sambit ni maam
"Choose kleo, reese, I don't want to be president. Sakit na nga kayong dalawa sa ulo sasama mo pa buong angkan ng Set-A1." Sign language gamit ko, nakatayo kami dito sa harap e.
Nag sign language din si kleo "choose thaliya, she deserves to be president." sinamaan ko naman ng tingin to.
"I dont want it nga, piliin mo si kleo, regalo nyo na saakin to, kahit saang position nalang ako basta wag lng sa president" sign language ko ulit.
Napakamot nalang ng ulo si reese dahil sa ang gulo naming tatlo.
"Fine, I will nominate you for vice president." sambit naman ni kleo.
Nakakunot na ang mga noo ng mga kaklase namin saamin, dahil sa pinaggagawa naming tatlo. Nagtataka yata sila. Para silang nanonood ng pelikula pero nakamute.
"Miss, I will give my vote to arniego po" smbit ni reese, nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag.
"Okay, for vice president open for nomination" sambit ni maam, pinaiwan si kleo sa harap.
"Maam, I nominate Ms Castuera po for Vice" turan nung babae sabay kinindatan ako. Tsk.
"Maa-" magsasalita palang sya ng pinutol ng ng isang ka blockmate namin ang sasabihin nya.
"I close the nomination po" turan nung lalaking nag nominate sakin sa president. Nag ngitian naman sila na akalain mo nababasa nila isipan ng isat isa.
Napataas nalang kilay ko, anong nangyayari dito. Parang scripted binayaran yung mga studyante.
"Okay, Castuera for vice president" si maam.
"Loh, scripted binayaran ba kayo?" Biro ko.
"Maam I nominate miss Fuertes for secretary po" sambit nanaman nung lalaking na nag nominate sakin kanina ng paulit ulit.
"Dzuhh, bat ako, tas pagsusulatin lang ako ni maam jan e" reklamo ni reese.
"I close the nomination po" natatawan turan ko. Kaya napalingon sila sa gawi namin ni kleo.
"Charot lang miss" pagbawi ko.
"Maam I close the nomination, dahil wala na pong mas deserving ky fuertes na maging walang ambag na secretary sa buong buhay nya" natatawang sambit nito. Namumukhaan ko sya na kaklase namin sya nung highschool.
"Maam oh tinotorture nila nararamdaman ko." nakasimangot na sambit ni reese habang papunta sa harapan.
Natapos na ang voting for officers, Nag aanounce nalang si maam saamin dahil halos introduction lang naman ginawa namin ngayong araw sakanya.
"by the way, who wants to be my student assistant?" Tanong ni maam.
"I need the responsible one" pahabol nya.
"Ma'am, it would be better if only one of your officers would be an assistant" turan ng isa.
"Maam si vice nalang po" turan naman lahat ng officers.
"I don't want miss" sagot ko lahat.
"Likewise, but no complaints, you are what your classmates almost said. whether you like it or not, you will be my assistant." Turan nya.
Sinamaan ko nalang ng tingin ang mga kablockmate ko, Tongno bat ako pinagkakanyahan ng mga tao dito, Scripted parang nag bayaran sila bago ako pinapasok.
"Happy Birthday castuera" sigaw ng isang napadaan sa building namin.
"Who is that?" Nakakunot na tanong ni maam, napakibit balikat nalng kami.
We didn't see the one who shouted, he left so fast, we only heard the HAPPY BIRTHDAY but he was gone when we landed our look there.

Kleo and Reese invited our other classmates to go to the mansion later, they said there would be a celebration, I'm not aware shocks, ako yung may birthday tapos di nila sinabi saakin na may pa party sila.
Where here now in the hallway, papunta kami ngayon sa office nya, nasa likod nya ako dahil di ko naman kabisado papunta don. Sa sobrang tahimik ni isa walang balak umimik, naisipan ko nalang mag pa music.
Nak earphones naman ako.

"Ah o-opo" sagot ko at sumunod sa loob ng office nya, iniwan nyang naka bukas e kaya pumasok na ako.
"you sing really well, huh" sambit nya habang naka upo na sa swivel chair.
"N-narinig nyo po?" Tanong ko.
"yes you are with me, stupid.. you sing pasilyo" turan nya.
"Uhm, maam, do you need anything else? I was about to leave na po, Kleo was waiting for me in the parking lot po" paalam ko.
Hindi naman ito nagsalita dahil busy sya nakatutok sa loptop nya habang naka kunot ang noo nito, Ng ilang minutong paghihintay at wala parin syang sinabi ay tumalikod na ako.
Hahakbang na sana ako pa alis pero tinawag ako nito ulit kaya humarap ako sakanya.
"Po, maam?" Tanong ko.
"Uhm, Happy Birthday" bati nito sabay nag iwas ng tingin.
"Thankyou po maam" ngiting turan ko sakanya"btw ma'am, there will be a party at our mansion later" napatingin naman ito.
"Ay baka busy ka po, oka-"
"No I'm not busy, I will try to attend." Pagputol nito, kaya napangiti naman ako.
"Sige po maam, sama nyo na din po mga kaibigan nyo para may kasama ka po pauwi, una na po ako maam. Ingat po sa pag uwi." sambit ko at tumgango naman ito.
Papaalis na sana ako ng pinigilan ng tinawag nanaman ako nito kaya napabalik ako ulit.
"P-po?" Tanong ko ulit.
"Add me on f*******:, create a group chat for your classmates so I can announce important things to them." sambit nito.
"Sige po maam" sambit ko
"Write your number here" naglapag sya ng papel.
"Para saan po maam? Nagpapa lotto ka pala" biro ko.
"Thats for number, phone number, not for your nonsense, i***t" sambit nya.
"Di naman mabiro maam, ito na po. Pakiloadan nalang po maam para po may pang text ako pabalik." Biro ko inirapan lang ako nito.
"You may go now" turan nya
I'm here now in the parking lot, Kleo told me to wait for her here, a few hours ago she still isn't here, the mosquitoes are feeding me here.
"Gosh you kleozeyn Ace Arniego, itatapon kita sa bangin pagka dating mo dito" bulong ko habang kinakamot na ang mga kagat ng lamok.
"Miss Castuera, why are you still here? Didn't I say you went home earlier?" Sambit ng nasa likod ko.
"Ah hinihintay ko papo kasi si kleo, susunduin nya daw po ako dito..pero wala pa naman po sya" paliwanag ko.
"Hop in" turan nito.

"I said, hop in, ako na maghahatid saiyo" sambit nya.
Loh ngtatagalog pala to? May accent pa sya.
"Ah hindi na po maam, padating na din po yon" turan ko.
"no, it's already six o'clock. the university is about to close, you have nothing to wait for here"
"S-sige po" sambit ko.
"I'm not your driver ms Castuera" turan nito, ayon sa passenger seat ako umupo.
Silence enveloped the inside of the car, none of us wanted to speak. so I just looked out the window and observed the surroundings outside.
"where will I drop you off?" Tanong nya.
"Sa 7/11 nalang po, malapit nalang naman po ang bahay namin don" sambit ko.
"Bakit hindi nalang sa house nyo?" Tanong nya ulit.
"Nag nagtatagalog ka po pala" sambit ko.
"Don't change what was discuss, ms Castuera. I'm probably Filipino too so I know?" Mataray nyang sambit.
I chuckled "may bibilhin pa po kasi ako sa 7/11 maam, maaga pa naman po" sambit ko.
Doon nya na ako binaba sa 7/11 dahil sabi ko nga, Bago pa man ito umandar ulit binaba nya muna ang bintana ng sasakyan.
"Be out of the woods, Deinliz." Turan nya.
Ano daw? Labas sa gubat? Nasa 7/11 ako.
"Ah maam, baka gusto nyo po muna mag ice cream." Paanyaya ko.
"Hmm okay" sambit nya at bumaba na.
"Maam, ano po gusto nyo?" Sambit ko
"This one" sambit nya sabay kuha sa vanilla flavor na ice cream.
"Pretty sure, ice cream is your favorite" sambit nya.
"It gives comfort, especially when I feel sad...I eat especially when I want to be alone, because I feel a soft silence like how soft ice cream is."sambit ko habang nakangiti"My mom said, when you're sad and angry with yourself or other people, don't pour out your heavy feelings on them... to reduce it somehow, she said eat ice cream to feel better." Turan ko.
"A-arre you alright? why are you crying?....Did I say something bad?" Sambit nya, kita sa mata nya ang gulat.
"Wala po to miss, may naalala lang po." Turan ko "tara na po maam gabi na po meron pa party sa bahay" pahabol ko at tumango naman sya.
So bumagsak nga talaga ang mga luha ko.
