“Take her away; I must make sure you pay everything you took from my husband! Caroline yelled, pointing toward Anabella. “Leave me alone; you're hurting me, she complained.” The police officers grip firm on her. "Madam, kindly cooperate; there's no time.” “Wait a second, I need to call my lawyer.” She bragged, as she snatched her cellphone from her purse. “I'm so sorry, sweetheart. Overlook that lady's slander, she must pay dearly, your mom and I have missed you. Ella told me you were here, so I came to surprise you. In fact, we are ready to accept your union. You're an adult, and you deserve to be happy with the person you love.” Amanda's jaw dropped as her eyes widened. “Should I tell him already?” She muttered under her breath, then cast a suspicious look at Kelly, who was staring at them from the other table. “Thank you so much, Daddy.” “Kelly smiled.. “Why not tell him the truth already: you are divorced, and I am your new husband?” Kelly whispered to himself, his shoulders raised to his neck. He smiled again. “I'm really, really lucky.” Amanda briefly glanced at him once more before focusing her attention on her father. “Amanda, you seem lost; what's happening?.” She jerked a little, “Oh Dad, I'm a bit dizzy.” “Guards, prepare the car; she's coming with us; your mom is really worried about you; we are willing to make amends; you deserve everything good, my child.” He comforted her, placing his hands on her shoulders. "Oh, okay Daddy, but please, let my personal assistant accompany me." “Where is he?” He asked, scanning to check. “There!, she pointed.” Her eyes flickered towards Kelly, and he instantly understood her message. “Hello, sir,“ Kelly said from afar. Could I be on the right track? I just hope Kelly doesn't view all of this as a game. I hope he grasps the gravity of the current situation. She muttered, her face perfectly fitted. "Alright, if you insist, then he comes with us; honestly, the family has a billion-dollar deal to crush this month; once we get home, you freshen up, take a good rest, and then, from tomorrow, I will share it with you." "Alright, daddy, of course I'm loving this news already, guards! Please don't forget to carry the million-dollar marvel inside the car.” "Yes, very important.” The father anchored, and in a short while they drove home. Light fades and opens in the hospital. Jason was glued to the bed; a huge drip was connected to his hand, his eyes still blaring. Everything appears quite plausible. “Aman..da.. actually hid... this from me?.” “Three freaky years and not even a clue.” He deepened his eyes, then shook his head. "I made a significant mistake, only to elevate my expectations through Anabel's charming deceptions; how could I be a coward?" And now, the realization that she is actually with another man further complicates the entire situation. He spoke as he pounded his left hand on the bar stand, which was very close to his bed. He clenched his fist afterwards, gritting his teeth as worry and anxiety laced the edges of his expression. There was a soft knock at the door. "Mr. Jason, you're fine now; we've discharged you and you're free to go." The nurses came announcing. He rose up immediately. “Don't you dare! Don't you dare tell me to go home. Go home to where exactly? Just leave me alone, madam! Get the hail out of here.” She hesitated briefly, her eyes trembling with fear. “I said GET OUT!” Jason yelled at the nurse as he approached, but she quickly fled without looking back. Jason swallowed hard as he tried to catch his breath. He fell to the ground. “How do I win her back? How do I show her that I never meant any of those things? He sobbed, his chest bubbling, his heartbeat palpating from within to the outside. “I need to call my lawyer.” He rose up instantly, then snatched his phone from the bed. ” Don Franklin's house. Footsteps were heard from behind. It's Amanda approaching the guest room to go see Kelly. She entered his space, shutting the door behind her. “Hubby, I'm so sorry about the lie I told earlier. I don't want to tell my parents anything yet; everything just seemed to be happening really fast, so I decided to take things one step at a time.” Kelly closed his eyes and then opened them, an almost impossible task. “It's fine, he whispered, both hands placed on her cheek. ”I helped you from the onset and wouldn't stop now! This has nothing to do with what transpired at the million-dollar event yesterday. I have always loved you, Amanda. You light up my world; please don't fret; I'm with you.” “Oh my gosh! You're so sweet.” They gazed at each other, Amanda's gaze already lingering for a long time. "Amanda, are you sure you're ready for another rollercoaster of emotions and feelings?” Her subconscious voice probed. ” She swallowed hard. “Nah! The family business should come first.” She said it out loud, trying to reply to the voice that seemed to be unendingly probing. “Yes, the family business!” she repeated. Kelly withdrew back alone, scanning the room to see if there were any third parties around, but she found none. “Could she be paranoid?” Kelly insinuated. "Join me as I concentrate on my dad's current contract, which, in all honesty, should be an effective method to alleviate my burden." We are the future; my dad's empire is our future; let's make it count! As she spoke with such confidence, it suddenly dawned on Kelly that Amanda was no longer the wife who had received scorn and disregard, but rather an independent woman who now understood her value and was prepared to face her fears and fulfill her desires. She took a step forward, placing her right hand on his chest. She wasn't done yet. “Remember, you're still my husband; you go with me everywhere I want to, I mean every single place. Remember, you're getting paid, so provide me with everything I need in a man.” She reminded him, patting him on the back. Just as Amanda turned to leave, she collapsed before everything turned peach-black. The worst was here!
