Karrah and her mother, Head High Priestess Laurel, stayed where they were in complete shock at Amethyst's revelation. The monster that they'd just read about... was alive after hundreds of years. He was, in fact, turned to stone. Well... trapped in stone... because of the inability to kill him, and his wolf was permanently out at the same time. Allowing Karrah and Laurel time to process her beginning revelation, Amethyst slowly sat down on the couch just on the other side of Laurel's chamber office. She took a few deep breaths to prepare herself as Karrah and Laurel joined her at that section of Laurel's office, sitting comfortably with a conjured cup of tea... lavender-hibiscus with a touch of honey.
"Amethyst... if you don't mind me asking... who are you exactly to Moon Goddess?" Karrah asked. Amethyst chuckled slightly before responding.
"I'm her sister. My task is to simply live countless times on Earth in different vessels and help however I can. Even if it's just me simply guiding." The two women almost dropped their tea, cups and all, at this news. Amethyst continued. "Each vessel has its own mate, and sometimes a second chance mate, giving me the possibility to find my actual True Mate, and to experience a better mate than Lucius and Argus."
"What do you mean when you say 'your actual true mate'?" Laurel asked.
"Because I'm Moon Goddess' sister, as well as a wolf, I myself have a one and only mate completely destined for me and me alone. Not my vessel. So, if I find my mate while Sable is my vessel, then my true mate will be the wolf in each mate vessel here unto forth. This'll be regardless of a second chance mating, and will always have some of the same abilities, and be stronger than the last vessel."
"Wow!" they replied simultaneously softly in awe. After a few minutes, Karrah slowly and hesitantly asked their dreaded question.
"Amethyst... what do you mean that you were treated worse than the others and used as a breeder?" Very briefly, Amethyst's eyes widened as they started to water while she answered.
"To answer that, I have to go back a little further and tell you a little bit about our origins... our creation. Our mother, after Moon Goddess was a young toddler, fell for a very unique wolf here on Earth. He was a pure shiny black wolf with five crescent moons... one on each of his paws and one on his forehead. So she took on the form of a pure white wolf with a silver shimmering glow, and approached him. As time went on, they mated. Their mating continued until I was created. Once she knew I was created, she returned, taking my father with her. She gave my father a voice, showed him her true form, and they grew closer." Amethyst gave a small smile before she continued.
"As far as Elemental Wolves go, I'm the first born out of thirteen. I'm also the strongest Elemental Wolf and the only one that has the ability to use all the elements from birth. I'm able to retain my abilities from each of my vessels and expand them. My eyes are the only ones that are purple with the elemental colors of blue, green, and red swirls at birth, with yellow making its appearance a few weeks after my vessel's birth. The pupils are always outlined in silver, which is the tell-tale sign of my relation to the Moon Goddess. Out of all of us Elemental Werewolves, I'm the only one truly naturally born... and that truly survived." Amethyst paused to compose herself. She's never gone this far into her own story before because she's never had to. It was harder than she thought.
"What do you mean that you're the only one to truly survive?" Laurel asked.
"After I was born, there was another girl born. Her hair was raven black, and her eyes were a midnight sky blue. My sister, Moon Goddess, was constantly attacked by her in some of the most vicious ways you could think of. Those attacks always ended with her bleeding. Raven was always darker... more violent. Her wolf form was practically feral... pitch black and blood red throughout her fur. She had the ability to create new elemental wolves just by a bite or a scratch in just the right circumstances." Karrah and Laurel's eyes briefly widened before they composed themselves. Amethyst continued as a lone tear fell from her left eye.
"When we were teenagers, Moon Goddess and I were playing cards when Raven came up behind us with her claws fully extended. We didn't hear her, nor did we sense her. She buried her claws in the back of our necks so deep that we bled like an erupting volcano and passed out instantly." At this revelation, their eyes widened in shock. She continued. "Our mother told us that she and dad got there too late. While they were running towards us, Raven ran right at them. Mom was in her human form, and dad didn't have a human form. Raven's claws were still extended as she ran past them., so she got Mom's hip, but dad... dad was completely level with her attack. Her claws went through him from head to tail... as if he was butter. He collapsed immediately. Mom was forced to expel her. It was her first Celestial fight in centuries. Mom said that she threw a boulder at her and forced her into a portal to Earth at the same time she stripped Raven of her divinity to trap her on Earth." Amethyst was quiet for a few minutes as fresh tears fell.
"Dad forced himself over to us and collapsed. He curled himself around me the best that he could and nuzzled Moon Goddess. Not being of natural divinity, but still being divinity by the blessing of our mom, dad's wound wouldn't ever fully heal, but he wouldn't die, either. Even with mom healing him the best she could. Our sister condemned dad to a life of torture. When mom got to us, her wound was already healing, so she wasn't gushing as much blood as she did when it first happened. She kneeled and tried to heal all three of us, but it was too much for her. She started fading and her bleeding increased to the point that it was when it first happened, and she ended up bleeding so much that her blood mixed with the three of ours below our bodies."
"Mom told us that dad moved himself to make sure that he was touching both Moon Goddess and me as much as he could before he told mom he loved her and to make sure that we knew he loved us, too before he spoke a spell he learned, without mom's knowledge, to give us his life force and divinity. His eyes closed forever the moment he saw ours open. He shed his physical wolf form and became the first spirit werewolf, able to create more as he sees fit."
"So... your father traded one life existence for another one? Is he still alive today?" Laurel asked.
"As far as I know, yes. Our mother shed her human form for good when my sister came of age to become Moon Goddess, becoming a spirit werewolf as well. To give mom and dad a whole new life together, my sister made them true mates, and gave them the ability to always find each other from the very beginning of their vessel's lives, if they happen to choose to get a vessel. Otherwise, they just live in the realm of the Divinity together."
"At least they're together again." Karrah said softly.
"Yes."
"You said you're the oldest of thirteen. But you only mentioned yourself and Raven. How did the others come to be if Raven killed your dad?" Laurel asked, slightly confused.
"Do you remember how much I told you we bled?" Amethyst asked them. When they nodded, she continued. "Our blood became the other elemental wolves. Mom and dad's blood established the parentage, while mine and Moon Goddess' blood established us all as siblings. Their birth was, for lack of a better explanation, a divine birth. This makes our relation what mortals refer to as distant. They were spread all over the earth. This is how elemental wolves came to be. Of course, some were good and some were bad, just like everything else." Karrah and Laurel didn't know what to say, so Amethyst continued, going back to their earlier question.
"You asked earlier how I was treated the worse and how I was used as a breeder. What you found out about his ability to block the mate bond is true. I don't have that ability. I never have. His ability to block the mate bond is different. He can block the mate bond of the she-wolves' mate and make them think they're dead if he hasn't already killed them. This breaks the she-wolves enough for him to capture them... and cage them. He doesn't believe in mates, so when he finds out he has a mate bond, he cages them,.. and gives them skimpy clothing that barely covers anything, a comfortable bed because of the intended use, and bedding. The bed... all the beds... had shackles or ropes at each of the corners. Mine had something extra... a long, wide piece of fabric soaked constantly in wolfsbane attached to spelled leather straps that were attached to my wrist restraints. If I fought, it tightened around my throat." they gasped as she continued.
"I found out from one of the older men that was enslaved there that I was his third mate... and he had found a way to prolong his life. Before me, he was mated to my sister Raven. Something happened to where my sister used her blood to heal him. Because of their shared nature, he didn't cage her. He told me that one night while they were mating, around the time she was gonna give birth, he extended his fangs like normal. Except for this time, Lucius took over until Argus was in mid-shift. Right after they finished mating, he ripped her throat out, cut out the baby, and took him to one of the many pregnant she-wolves in his harem to feed until weaned. Then he went back upstairs with a couple of buckets and bled her dry. Since her blood healed him and prolonged his life slightly from the slight divinity remaining, he drank a full mouthful of her blood with every meal. The last of Raven's divinity in her blood kept it from going bad. After he bled her, he threw her body to the wolves. The wolves that consumed her body became the race known as blood-red werewolves. Her blood turned Lucius and Argus into a blood-red werewolf himself the first time he consumed it.
"Is that why he's so hard to kill?" Karrah asked as she glanced at the adjoining door, which she opened wide to help keep an eye on Sable. Amethyst noticed and responded.
"Sable's still sleeping with a damp diaper. She's comfortable. Raven's blood with the remaining divinity had unfortunately increased his strength, his original abilities, and gave him my sister's abilities. What you found as far as my position is also correct. Argus was King of the Werewolves of the East. I was the Princess of the Werewolves of the North. My vessel, my first vessel, was Erlene - Gunhilda. The names translate to noblewoman, princess, warrior, countess, and battle-maid. I was known on the battlefield as the Battlemaid Princess. In that vessel, I was raised to believe that once officially mated, I had to submit more to my mate and ensure that my pack and Kingdoms were safe. I was the best warrior in the Northern Kingdom, so I was worried when I discovered my mate was Lucius. Even though I hadn't met him before this, I, as well as our whole Kingdom, had heard about his cruelty. The day I found out about him being my mate... my vessel's mate, I had just got back from border patrol and defense modifications. We were attacked by a small battalion of rogues and blood-red werewolves. I smelled him as soon as I entered the castle." Amethyst smiled slightly before quickly shaking her head and continued. Karrah and Laurel just stayed quiet and listened...sensing she needs to tell this.
"I followed the scent of burnt pine and vanilla all the way to my father's office, where he was sitting with Argus in full discussion over a Peace Treaty between our Kingdoms. We had had reports from all over our Kingdom about him and his people abducting our people and slaughtering the humans scattered throughout our Kingdom. I opened my father's office right after calling out 'Father' and stopped talking while widening my eyes as I stared at Argus in disbelief. My vessel Erlene - Gunhilda was frozen in shock, so I mind-linked him and told him about Argus being our mate. He told me to take over my vessel, go get cleaned up, and that he'd find me later. I went up to my chambers, right by Father's, and cleaned up. I was just putting on one of my magickal armor outfits when Father knocked on the chamber door."
"He hugged me... technically, us, and we sat down at the table by the window. He told me that he had concluded the peace negotiations and that he had to agree for me to go with him back to the East Kingdom because I was his mate. We came up with a plan to get our people back. Along the border of our Kingdoms became a neutral territory, three miles into the North Kingdom and three miles into the East Kingdom. The treaty meant that nobody was allowed to be violent there, and anyone living along our Kingdoms there had to be helped by both Kingdoms. They were granted special protection that gave them a specific status of Duel Kingdom Settler. It was each individual and family's choice whether or not to be there from both Kingdoms. Nobody was allowed to interfere with their choices and they were to be honored regardless of who their King was or the feelings of said King. Father instructed me specifically to be in control as much as possible to keep Erlene - Gunhilda from being turned into something she wasn't even close to being. It was planned to endure twenty years of whatever he does, gain intel and keep him updated. As a Royal, I was able to mind link him at any and all point, regardless of my location, as long as I wasn't past a certain distance or shakled with silver. As Moon Goddess' sister, I have that ability amplified, and can project my humonide self anywhere I choose. A week later, I was on my way to the East Kingdom as Luna Queen. The entire journey was nine weeks long. During that travel time, he didn't show, say, or do anything to indicate that there was anything severely serious to worry about. He was sweet, gentle, and protective. We completed the mating process, my vessel and Argus and Lucius and myself, on the third day. I showed myself to Lucius in my wolf form out of instinct. When we reached the castle, Argus took me immediately to the hospital wing to get examined. Afterward, I was given my own chambers right next to his chambers with an adjoining bathroom and across the hall from his office." Amethyst's voice started to get a little shaky, so Laurel conjured everyone a steamy hot cup of chamomile and hibiscus tea with a touch of honey and lavender petals. Amethyst smiled gratefully and sipped at her tea for a few minutes before she continued.
"We mated multiple times a day for three weeks. During those three weeks, I was officially announced as Luna Queen. Guards were posted outside my chambers, and I had no less than two guards at all times. Argus didn't like me going outside. Erlene - Gunhilda was pretty scared, so I was out most of the time. She didn't get scared very easily, but she sensed something truly monstrous about Argus and Lucius that she couldn't get a full reading on. He was blocking it. The head healer from the Hospital Wing kept coming up to my chambers and giving me tonics, potions, and specially selected herbal teas. She said that they were to increase my immunity and strengthen my health. Most of them were what she said. There was this one potion that was a swirling rainbow that I hadn't seen before. The Head Healer never left until she saw me take the stuff she brought me, so I used my magic to save a small sample for me to test."
"What was it?" Laurel asked curiously.
"An Increase Fertility potion." Amethyst responded. Their eyes went wide with a puzzled expression, so Amethyst elaborated. "He wanted to ensure that I was able to give him the first child before he announced me as a breeder and started to let other males mate with me, starting with my guards. As soon as I became pregnant, I wasn't allowed to leave my chambers. Everything was brought to me. Needed medical supplies were stockpiled in my chambers, a private bathroom was added, I was no longer allowed to use the joint bathroom so that door was magickally locked, a nursery room was added with a couple of dozen cribs, and I officially had a handmaid that was put in the adjoining chambers on the other side of the nursery. As soon as I gave birth to the triplets, two boys and a girl, I was given four months to heal before Argus and Lucius paid me another visit. This time, Lucius was in control. He stormed into my chambers, went directly up to me as I came out of the bathroom, grabbed me by my throat, lifted me off the floor, and threw me on the bed. He growled out that it was his turn and said that it was his honor to introduce me to my true role. He ripped everything off, jumped on the bed, grabbed my throat, and continuously mated. He kept going even when the healer brought in the same fertility potion and left it by the bed. He called in my guards to hold my hands above my head while he stopped long enough to force the fertility potion down my throat. He told them to get the ropes, so when they returned he kept going as they tied my hands against the headboard and went back outside my door. The only time that this stopped was when I had to go to the bathroom or eat because he had instructed my handmaiden to take care of the kids. Lucius got me pregnant after nine weeks of this nightmare. I gave birth to two boys and it started all over again." Karrah and Laurel could see the remaining pain and anger Amethyst held. Karrah got up and took care of Sable while Laurel asked Amethyst a question or two.
"Do you know what happened to your children?" Amethyst took a deep breath before answering.
"As soon as the girls were old enough, they were taken to the Harem. The boys were put through military training. I was able to get through to some of my boys and all my girls. Some were killed while others made it through the neutral territory and to Father. Some of my girls died while giving birth."
"How were you able to get your girls out, Amethyst?" Karrah asked as she came back in and sat down.
"The one ability that I was able to keep Argus and Lucius from gaining access to is the ability to make one appear as if dead. I used that ability on them and when the guards took them and threw them in the neutral territory, they ran to Father, told him everything they could, and told him what they knew of me."
"What about your boys you reached?" Laurel asked.
"My boys went into the Harem and found their sisters. When they could, they'd leave with them. When they couldn't, they'd just disappear during patrol."
"Why not just get them all out at once with everyone else?" Karrah asked.
"Because this had been going on for so long, we needed more to take to the Royal Council. We had to take our time with this. With my vessel being his mate, it put me in the perfect position to gather the needed Intel and witnesses to take to the Royal Council. In total, it took thirty years to gather the intel and witnesses, and another fifteen years to finally trap him in stone. After that, the Royal Council named Erelene - Gunhilda and I Luna Queen of the East to the other Kingdoms. We freed everyone we could, gave everyone the much-needed education, and made the Kingdom truly flourish and thrive. We came to be known as The Golden-Age Luna Queen.
