Chapter 2: The Encounter

I drove to Zamboanga city. I got there at 7PM I was mesmerized by the place it's an ancient house.My grandma just give this to me when I turned 22 years old but now she's already in heaven.I missed her so much. It's my first time to see this house I only sees this on the picture when my grandma said it's a gift. Its an old house but still looks new because we have caretaker here

"Sir let me carry your bag " Mang Kanor said

"No it's okay I gotta go inside okay?"

"Okay sir"

I walked to the stairs and this place gives me peacefulness when I entered the living room. I saw a lot of old painting. It's a painting of my grandma and grandpa when they are just young. I touched the painting and I remembered what my grandma says when she's alive

"If you become an adult Josiah, always remember to choose what makes you happy and whats your heart wants. Always choose the peace in yourself"

I smiled then put back the painting . I walked to the room and enter there. The bed is an old styled bed and there is an old telephone on the table beside it. I saw a picture frame but the photo is blurred i put it back and changed my clothes. l lie down in bed and try to sleep because I am kinda tired driving.

Knock~Knock~

I woke up when someone just knocked on the door, I feel cold suddenly when the window open. I checked my phone and it's already 11:30PM. I slept for 3 hours. I opened the door and I saw Mang Kanor standing there

"sir your dinner is ready, I just bought food to the market. I tried to wake you up earlier but you're really in a deep sleep.

"oh sorry for that, thank you by the way".

"Okay sir, If you want anything sir I am just outside I gotta go look for the cow's."

"Okay no worries."

I walked to the little dining table and eat alone. It's rice and a chicken soup. When I finish eating I clean the table and wash the plate I'm not that feeling rich as you think lol.

I was about to go to my room when I heard someone just playing a piano. I looked for it and I saw the piano on living area but no one's there. I'm hallucinating maybe. I go back to my room and read a book. Suddenly I heard someone singing

That voice are mesmerising I look at the window and saw a girl swinging while singing outside she's wearing an old female attire it's a long white dress with a pearls and a shole and her shoulders her hair tied into circle. What is she doing there outside at almost 12am? I ran outside and I can find her there

"What are you doing here sir?are you looking for me?" Mang Kanor asked

"Did you see a girl here Mang Kanor?"

"No I didn't . this time all people here are all in their sleep ."

"Oh okay"

"Let's go inside" He said and walk first

I walked to my room and look to the window again she's not there maybe she ran away? I closed the window and lye in bed I can't stop thinking to that pretty voice of her until I fell asleep

I woke up when a chicken just jumped to my face through the window.

"What the f**k!" I screamed and throw the chicken to the window

I already closed it who opened it?

I look through the window and I just noticed that there is a beach not too far from here the view is really good, the air is refreshing this is what I really want. I walked at the living room. I think Mang Kanor is not here. Its just 6Pm . I woke up because of the chicken. I grab my car keys on the table beside my bed I wore a shirt then go out. I drove and check where I can eat. I saw a small restaurant on the public market. When I came out to the car people are all looking at me like I was an actor. I noticed that girls here is modern but who's the girl I saw yesterday? She's an old type woman. Hope I can see her again.

After I ate I drove again and go back to the house I parked the car and then just walked to go to beach. All people looking at me maybe because I'm new here. I walked until I got into the beach no one in here. I walk through the seashore when I saw the girl again picking stone. I come over her and approached her. I can't even say a word when she looked at me she's very pretty a goddess.

"What's the matter?" she asked with a sweet voice and smiled I can't help but fell in love with her smile

"I saw that you're alone, I just wanna asked if you want me to help you picked stone. I am new here by the way"

She just looked at me

"Sir Josiah, I was looking for you, I knew that your here" Mang Kanor screamed so I turned around him

"Oh I was just trying to relax and by the way.." I turned back but the girl is not there she ran away from me again

Mang Kanor toured me to this place and the whole time I always think about that girl. We got home at 6PM and I smoke outside while Mang Kanor entered the house

"That's not good for the health"

I jumped and turned around

"You made me nervous " me while touching my chest

"Sorry, I don't have anything to do so I came here I really love the garden here and you know I love flowers that's why I always sneaked in to your house haha" She said while laughing

"Don't worry about it you can come here everyday If you want to." I said while smiling at her

"Why you smoke? That's not good for the health"

"Oh sorry" I throw the cigarette away. I don't want to disappoint her you know

She picked a flower in my grandma's garden and smell it. All I did was to look at her pretty faces

"Thank you for this. I gotta go home" She said

"You want me to send you home?" I asked

"No need I'm just near here" She said and waved goodbye

I walked back inside and have my dinner with a smile of my face.

"Why are you smiling, Do you found someone you like in here?", Mang Kanor asked while smiling

"Yes maybe? She's very pretty" I said while thinking about her face

"May I know her name?"

I remembered I didn't ask her name what the h*CK for all the thing I should've said why I didn't ask her name

"I don't know?" I said and Mang Kanor just laughed

After that talked I go to bed and sleep. And I woke up early in the morning. I wear black shirt and a short paired with a black slipper. I walked to the beach again but shes not there I sat on the sand and watch the sea water moving I wait for an hour expecting to see her but she's not there so I just called Mang Kanor and invited her to fishing after that he teaches me ride a boat and then we got home tired

At 8Pm. I sit at the balcony and drink wine when someone just waiving at the gate and it's her I ran at the gate and opened it for her

"I brought an apple for you" she smiled and then gave me the basket of apple

"Thank you come on let sit in the balcony" I said and She followed me

"What is your name by the way?"

"My name is avaluna, pleasure to meet you"

"Unique name and pretty name as your face, I'm Josiah by be the way" I said that make her blushed

"Oh thank you"

"Can I get your number" I asked

"I don't have a phone" she said innocently this girl is really unique

"anyways I gotta go home, see you again tomorrow" and she leave.

I was amazed by her again i just hope you're the one I met 6 years ago. What Camille did to me is unforgiven. The pain is still here but I was trying to forget everything because that's the purpose why I'm here. I walked back inside and sit on the bed when something just caught my eyes it's frame again with a blurry picture of a girl, why is this here by the way? I picked it to the ground and then hide it on my closet. I lie down in bed and go to sleep
