Chapter 3: Together

Mang Kanor and I woke up early because we plan to have fishing today. I was about to get the net when someone just approached me

"Hi are you Josiah? I heard a lot about you and they're right you're really handsome" Her while smiling at me she's skinny,had a curly hair and have a fair skin. Avaluna is prettier than her anyways

"Do I know you miss?" I said sarcastically and continuing what I'm doing

I leave her and started to go fishing we finished at 4PM so I said to Mang Kanor that he go first . Then when he leaves I lie down to the shore and then put my arms around my head I looked at the sky and then trying to relax my self until I fell asleep

I woke up and it's already dark. I was about to get up when I heard someone's crying and it's familiar. I sneaked down without having a noise and I hide to the bushes and I saw avaluna sitting at the stone while leaning her face to his arms. I come closer to her and approached her

"Are you okay?" I asked behind her back

~sniff ~sniff

She turned around and look at me while wiping her tears

"I'm fine, don't worry about me"

"You can tell me your problem, it will make you feel better"

"My father wants me to get married, with the person I don't even love". She said while tears falling down to her face I wiped it using my thumb

"Is that thing still existed?" I said and she look at me with a confused face and I was like okay nevermind lol

"You know what my grandma once said, choose what our heart wants and what makes us happy, so don't marry a guy that you don't even love because your life would be miserable" I said while having an eye contact

She nodded like he understood what I am saying and she wiped her tears and hugged me I was like woooh chill my heart beated too fast

"Thank you" she said then push me a little bit I sat beside her and started to tell her why I'm here

"You know, when I'm in the city I ran a company of my dad I have fiancee I mean ex fiancee named Camille"

"What happened to the both you?"

"She cheated on me with my competitor and my number one enemy and you know what worst they stole Thirty Million to my family company. I can't handle the pain anymore so I ran away and that's why I'm here."

"I treated her like a princess, a queen I gave her all what she wanted , and here I am thinking what's wrong with me?" I said with a bitter smile

"There is nothing wrong with you, You know what is wrong? Them, because you treated them right and they gave you pain that you don't deserve" she said and I look at her. Her words relaxes me we both silent while looking at the sea when she suddenly stood up

"I gotta go Josiah, Thank you hope to see you again" She said then ran away

Here she is again rushing to go home without even kissing me I mean without a proper goodbye I walked home alone and then when I got there. I saw Mang Kanor from the back yard

"You just got home sir?"

"Yes I fell asleep there mang kanor"

He just laugh and walked upstairs, I walked inside too and go to my room I sat on my study table and open my book when suddenly white cat jumped from the window

"Holy s**t!" I almost have an heart attack

I stood up and picked up the cat I was about to throw it to the window when I saw a first letter on its collar "A"

"What it's your name kitty? Where you came from?"

~meow

I closed the window and put it on the bed

"Sorry kitty I almost throw you out through the window"

I lie down in bed and go to sleep

"Avaluna what are you doing here?"

"I was getting married" Her eyes are full of sadness

I saw a guy standing beside her wearing a vintage suit and forcing her to smile. I tried to reach her but I can't. I saw the place and the people they're all wearing vintage dress and a suit and this place it's Saint Augustine Parish Church. as far as I remembered it started to build year 1571 and completed in year 1607.I walked towards avaluna but nobody sees me but I know she can see me they're all getting ready and avaluna started to walk through the aisle with a sadness on her face

~Knock ~Knock

I woke up suddenly and I realized that it was a dream, but it's weird and it felt so real I look for the cat but shes not here maybe she jumped to the window again I stood up and open the door it's Mang Kanor

"What happened mang kanor?"

"Your dad looking for you outside"

"How did he know that I'm here?"

"I don't know sir, he's waiting for you "

I walked to living room and saw him sitting on a wooden chair

"What are you doing here?" I bitterly asked

"I came here to see you son and apologize"

"I don't need that now, all I need is a peace of mind"

"I already know who stole to the company, sorry for blaming you"

"Let's just forget about it, and you should've to go home, the company is all yours now" I said then go back to my room without turning back

I stood up to the window and look outside, trying to relax myself

"Take a deep breath"

~meow

I turned around and saw the cat sitting in bed while looking at me

"oh hi kitty, where did you go earlier?"

~meow

"who's your owner by the way?"

Anyways why am I talking to a cat? I sat down to my bed and think about something when I heard a car. my dad already leave I stood up and get my keys to my study table then I walked outside to my car and then drove to the nearest mini bar here

"one bottle of diva vodka please" I said to the bartender when I sit on a chair

I take a sip when someone just sit beside me

"Oh Josiah small world I saw you here again" as far as I remember this is the girl on the beach who approached me she's wearing red revealing dress right now I ignored her in put a drink on the glass when she grabbed it and drink it

"You're so mean you know? All guys here liked me and you're just the one I talked with" She said flirty

"Who cares" I mumble

"What,?" She asked and cling her arms around me

"What the heck are you doing?" I said while removing her arms I stood up and said

"Leave me alone okay, drink that all" and I leaved

I drove to go back home when I saw a girl wearing white sitting on a tree , god this early I saw a white lady already? I stopped when I saw its face it's avaluna

I got out from the car and walked closer to her

"What are you doing here avaluna?" I asked and I saw her shaking

"I don't wanna go home anymore" she said while shaking I hugged her

"What happened?"

"I don't wanna go home"

"I will bring you with me, don't worry" I hold her hand and open the car for her

"Where do you wanna go?" I asked while driving and still holding her hand using my right hand she didn't answer I looked at her and I can tell that she's not okay

I brought her to my house and expecting Mang Kanor to be there I let her sit to the living room and tell her that I'm gonna look for Mang Kanor first

"Stay here okay"

she nodded

I look for Mang kanor but can't find him so I get back to avaluna and saw her fell asleep on the couch I walked to my room and get my blanket and place it to her body I sat to the wooden chair then saw a white paper in the table I opened the letter and this is from Mang Kanor

~Dear sir Josiah

Sorry for not wait for you sir before I leave is just that my wife got sick and I need to go back to my town immediately I'll be gone for 3 weeks sir hope you understand, thank you.

I put the paper back and smiled so me and avaluna will be alone together sounds good

I looked at the clock and it's already 5PM, I wanna cook for her but I don't know how to cook I think for a little while when she woke up

"Oh sorry, I fell asleep" She said

"It's fine, you can stay here avaluna and you can do everything what you want here feel at home"

"Thank you Josiah, you been so kind to me"She said and smile

"Can I cook?"She added and I nodded so she will be my wife this time

I lead her to the kitchen

"Here's our kitchen you can cook here anytime" I said and she gave me a big smile

"Really?"

I grabbed the apron behind her and I just realize we're too close to each other I already feel her breath to my neck and the hair on my neck stood up its gives me a chill She pushed me a little bit

"I think we're too close" She said

"Here..Here is the apron wear it and theres a lot of ingredients inside the ref just...grabbed anything in there" I said nervously and rushed to go to the living room why I am acting like this, I'm not a teenager anymore right? like what the heck. I sat and turned on the TV after a while I smell something really good so I run to the kitchen

"Wow, what did you cook? that's smell so good"I said while walking closer to her

"It's my specialty of sinigang, wanna taste it ?" I nodded and she feed me then it tastes good, avaluna is perfect,, pretty and a wife material

"God, That's very delicious" I said

After that I prepared on the table and she also put the food to the table we sat and we're facing each other.were eating we she suddenly talked

"My mom used to teach me to cook and we enjoyed it together"She said while smiling

"Me,my mom died when i was born I never had a chance to meet her" I said sadly

"That's fine Josiah, That's happened for a reason and that's what god's plan wherever your mom is I know she was guiding you"She said

She never failed to amazed me

"Anyways, may I know why you ran from your home?"

"I'm not ready to talk about that Josiah" she said sadly

"Okay sorry ava" I said then we both in a silent

When we finish eating I lead her to her room and then make him borrow my shirts because I don't have women clothes

"Just wear this for the meantime I'll buy you clothes tomorrow, there is a shower inside go take a shower" I said and gave him my shirt she nodded and I sat on the living room and watch TV, after 1minute I heard her scream I ran inside her room and then I noticed that the bathroom is open so I entered inside and her eyes widened and she screamed so loud that I feel like my eardrums gonna burst She covered her body using her arms

"Sorry I panicked I thought something happened to you" I said and ran outside

what the heck was I did. I saw her coming closer to me she's wearing that dress again is she gonna leave ? her face are all red now as me

"I don't know how to use the shower" She said it innocently

"Ohh sorry, I'm gonna teach you" we both go to the bathroom and I teach her how to turn it on and off, how to change it into cold warm or hot and then I got outside and started to watch a movie again after 30minutes she got to the living room and sat with me she wore my shirts and she looks hot in it and she's prettier when she didn't tied her hair it's long and a bit of curly at the bottom

"What did you watch?"

"It's world war two" she becomes serious when I said that maybe she remembered what happened earlier

"About.. ear .. lier sorry .. for that by the way" I said and she turned red

"Let's just..am forget about it you know" she said and seriously watched to the Television.

After we watched a movie we decided to sleep

"uh.. goodnight by the way" she said

"Goodnight too avaluna" and we both go to our rooms.

I can't actually sleep and I feel like this day is too long, I am thinking what does avaluna doing in her room, maybe she fell asleep already I stood up and open the door and I go to kitchen and drink cold water when suddenly I heard cricking of the door and heard someone's was walking and there I saw avaluna

"You're still awake?" I asked

"Oh gosh! I feel like I am going to have an heart attack" she said while touching her chest

"I'm thirsty" she said then come towards to refrigerator where I'm at

She drink the one battle of water and all I can hear is the water moving from her throat

"Why are you staring at me?" She said then put back the water bottle. suddenly I think an idea to annoy her I hold her both arms and then leaned her to the refrigerator without closing it her eyes widened i come closer to her face then look to her eyes her eyes widened more and she swallowed her own saliva I let her go then put back the water bottle that's in the table

"Oops sorry" I said

She just rolled her eyes then ran to her room I just laughed so hard and then go back slowly to my room I closed it and sleep very well with a happiness in my face.
