Have you ever been so confused before?

Like to the point you are not listening to what the person in front you is saying.

That's how Azalea was feeling she was in utter confusion, like how is that even possible she thought

"Azalea?"

Aaron her Father called out

"Azalea??"

He called out again slightly shaking his daughter

"Papa"

She said still in daze

"Are you listening?"

He asked looking at his daughter he knew what he was asking from her and he knew she will not accept to it but at this point she had no choice and he could not do anything about it as well .

"I'm not doing that papa that's alot you are asking of me"

She said looking at her father meeting his eyes

" I have no control of it it has been written for two generations now"

He said and watched his daughter walk out of his study almost in tears

"She will understand" he muttered trying to assure himself

Laura her cousin said through the phone

"Will I joke about this that's what he was saying and how can that happen when I was not even existing when they made that pact for God's sake" Azalea said back

" Lea breathe please"

Laura muttered

"Your coming of Age is around the corner are you excited"

Laura said changing the topic

"I'm not anymore, I don't even know what to do if I come of age I will get married to the person Father was talking about and I don't want that"

Azalea said sadly trying not to cry she should have not come home immediately after she graduated from Oxlane university it but she missed her father, not the people and definitely not the environment because she was happy to be away from the whole royalty life, princess duties, cutting of ribbons,Making speeches. the four years she spent away from it all was very peaceful and she yearned for Oxlane more than ever now.

But can she go back?

She wondered

"Have U spoken to Deon about this"

Laura asked bringing her back to reality

"What do I tell him?" She asked almost laughing

"How do I tell my boyfriend of almost three years that hey I'm a princess and I am betrothed to someone else, someone I don't even know that is just the worst part of it all" she nearly screamed

"You should have listened when I told you to tell him you are royalty"

Laura muttered

"How do I tell him that without making it feel so weird he would have changed towards me if he knew, he would be cautious around me and I did not want that I wanted to tell him but there was no chance to I got really caught up in the whole life outside here that I forgot I was even a princess"

She sighed, she knew it will be hard and she cannot get married to a complete stranger never she just have to reason with her father, he would understand she thought.

At the same time she could not loose her boyfriend, she liked him he was kind to her, he showed her what life outside of the royalty world looks like, she explored and she wanted more.
