THE FORGOTTEN GODDESS

The gods have fallen !!!! This was the news that spread at midnight in Iyre ,all the hidden people came out one by one as they looked at the fallen beings slaughtered with their own magical instruments. Humanity was free from the reign of the tyrannical beings , and they were led into victory after the death of so many . The war was led by general Simba whose hatred for the gods outweighed her rational sense, she promised to put an end to the FIVE SUPERIOR whose tyranny and evil superseded the love for their servants and children . The gods who once were the hope of the humans who came together to worship them for centuries in IYRE,tortured and r***d and pillaged their worshippers. The FIVE SUPERIOR were known for their gifts and powers bestowed like AMUR (the strong) who gave strength to his worshippers for physical tasks and in battle to conquer their enemies. MOKOSH was the goddess of prosperity who gave wealth and bountiful harvest to her worshippers . LADA the goddess of love and fertility whose followers were never barren but loved by all. MARS the valiant god of war whose followers never lost a battle. And last Hebe the goddess of youthful vitality whose followers always looked young and full of life. The gods who looked after their worshippers decided to walk among men thereby bringing the Epiphany, because the gods decided to Honor the humans with their presence and bless them. The gods first walked among men three thousand years ago and the people of Iyre were so prosperous that most small villages beyond the sea heard of them and decided to become part of them . But with the gods walking among men the period of jealousy and strife started, because the ruling families of iyre decided that each epiphany would ensure the gods favor and so a maiden must be offered to the gods as a gift . The ruling family of Sali decided to offer their virgin daughter Laura to the gods ,she was groomed at the temple and bathed with milk and honey to improve her complexion. She had long black hair and a beautiful sun kissed face ,with skin so fair she was said to be a goddess on earth by the peasants and workers. She was given to the gods at their annual Epiphany and the gods slaughtered her before all as an acceptance of offering and a promise of all good things .As her blood flowed down the altar ,Mars the god of war asked for two maidens for the next Epiphany shocking the people of Iyre and starting the reign of sacrificing virgins at Epiphany . The gods who at first gave gifts to the people decided to take as they pleased ,by making unreasonable re quests through their priests and if their requests got denied ,the people of Iyre experienced disasters,lost wars and their children. This started the rebellion against the five superior.
