THE WARZONE

They say that your future is in your hands but what i could see that day was blood instead. Fear and worry was all around. It all happened at a glimpse. No body saw it coming not even Sam who saw everything. Was it Doom's day and no body had given us a hint? Everything around me was in pieces. There were dead bodies everywhere. I didn't even know where the rest of my family members were. I was too weak and scared to even scream for help. There were large stones on my leg which couldn't allow me to move. I was to afraid to even breath for if i moved an inch, the stones could crush me. All i could do was to pray to the Lord for help. The stones were in such a way that two of them were over my head not allowing me to breath properly, one was besides me but it's sharp edges were pressing my ribs so hard that i could feel blood dripping and my legs were covered by two huge rocks that made me motionless. I could hear voices from a distance of people looking for their beloved ones. I hopefully waited for them to find me and rescue me from this dilemma i was in. It looked like hours but finally some good people who were thoroughly looking for their beloved ones came to my rescue. I had lost a lot of blood in such a way that i could see in a blurred view. I was quickly rushed to the hospital were some doctors operate on me removing every stone fragment that was in me. While they were operating on me, i begun having flashbacks on how a great day was badly ruined. They were too painful and thus i avoided them. All i wanted to know right now was where the rest of the family was and whether they were okay. I couldn't imagine what i would do if any of them was hurt. Who ever was was responsible for this would surely pay in one way or the other. I was determined to search for the one behind all this and get some revenge. It took some time for the doctors to be through with me and left me to rest for i had lost a lot of blood. After a few minutes, the rest of my family members joined me praising the Almighty Lord for my safety. All were present but also came in with a sad news. One of my friends was seriously injured and was rushed straight to the ICU unit. His name was Sam and he was like a brother to me. we did most of our stuff together and on hearing the news, i was really hurt more than the huge stones had coursed me. I wanted to go and check on him but i wasn't allowed due to the splinters i had. My mom, being a doctor, took the liberty of checking on him. When she left, another thought came to me, since our house was completely destroyed to pieces, where would we stay after i was released from hospital. My father answered that thought by going to search for some place for us to stay at. I was left alone together with my little sister ,Rispar, who was playing the blame game. "Maybe it was the big man with the huge belly who always said that we were in his land," she murmured. She surprised me a lot for she was so little yet knew so much. I really loved her and somebody had made her unhappy. That person would clearly pay for this mistake. Before all this had happened, it was on a Sunday morning and we were preparing to go to church. Rispar was running up and down singing songs of praise, my parents were preparing for departure while i was preparing to go visit my friend, Victor, who had said he would aid me in some work i had before going to church. I was only a half way when it all happened. I heard guns being fired and before i knew what was happening, i was on the ground with stones all over me. Soon enough, we would know who was responsible for this and hopefully get some sweet revenge after i was released from the hospital.
