The Alpha King let out a loud, angry howl that shook the entire hall. Everyone around us immediately fell to their knees, their heads bowed in submission. Everyone except me.
I stood there, completely unaffected by his Alpha command. My body didn’t even tremble.
“Interesting,” he said, his eyes narrowing as he studied me. “My Alpha howl didn’t work on you. I can see you have some tricks up your sleeve, mate. No wonder you had the courage to accept my rejection.”
His voice turned cold and threatening. “But who do you think you are to reject ME, b***h? Accept me as your mate and king, or die.”
I stared at the arrogant fool in front of me. This was supposed to be our king? He was nothing but a bully drunk on power.
“Die?” I laughed loudly, the sound echoing through the silent hall.
