Chapter 11

~Jasper~

"What do you mean James?" I asked, my grip on Ellie becoming tighter.

"I saw the Queen's men, the ones from the party on the outskirts of the woods, it wont be long before they start closing in." He said, out of breath. I looked down at Ellie and she looked as white as a ghost. I knew what this meant, we will be in for a fight.

"Ellie, don't be scared please, I will protect you." I said, holding onto her. I knew that we had to leave, and get as far away as possible.

"I have alerted the other pack memebers, they are going to keep them away for as long as they possibly can." I nodded, and brought Ellie into our bedroom, packing her bag.

"Where will we go, we cant run forever Jasper." She said as I threw clothes for her in.

"I will run to the ends of the earth, if it means keeping you safe Ellie." I said.

"Stop." She said, I turned to her and she had, a look I couldn't really describe on her face.

"What is it Ellie, we don't have a lot of time here." I said to her.

"Just stop Jasper, everyone is putting themselves in harms way because of me, its not worth it." I couldn't believe the words that were coming out of her mouth.

"Ellie, don't you dare speak like that!" I yelled at her.

"Why not!  James and Caroline could be killed for this! Sure, your parents will make sure nothing happens to you, because you are their son! but I have NO ONE! I have NO FAMILY! Whoever the Queen has sent, is on a mission to kill me! They WONT STOP!" She screamed at me. I froze in shock, her words stinging my heart.

"You really think you have no family and no one, look around you Ellie! Everyone here is your family, we all want to protect you!" I yelled back at her.

"You really think I could live with myself, or live in a world without you Ellie! That's not possible! I am not just mated and bonded to you , I am in love with you!" I yelled. I walked quickly to her and pulled her into me. I needed her, how has she not realized that yet!

"Ellie, I love you." I said, capturing her lips with my own.

~Ellie~

I felt so much guilt and responsibility for everything that was going on.In that moment, with Jasper's lips on mine, I was able to just forget the world. I laced my hands into his hair and held on for dear life. I slipped my tongue and brushed it across his lips, my sweet mate.

"J-Jasper please, I need more." I groaned, buckling my hips into his. If this was possibly the last time him and I could be together, if death was really waiting for us, I wanted to spend it completely wrapped up in his love. Jasper picked me up and placed me softly on the bed, kissing and sucking my neck.

"Ellie, I want so badly to place my mark on you." He whispered, pulling down my pants.

"Then do it." I said. His eyes wide, and gaze meeting mine.

"R-really?" He asked.

"Yes, either we are going to die, or we are going to live and be together, so mark me." He smiled a sweet smile, before kissing and licking my marking spot, he quickly bit down. I groaned out , both in pain and the overwhelming ecstasy of it all. When he was done, he entered me in one quick movement and I was lost.

I never wanted this to end.

~James~

"Jasper is alone, preparing to leave with Ellie." I said, explaining further to the other members what should be expected next.

"So what are we to do now?" Elijah asked.

"Elijah, Lucas, you will go with Caroline, Jasper and Ellie, your one and only job is to get the three of them as far away as possible." I explained. Caroline had said that once they got onto her old packs territory , they would be safe.

"The rest of you will stay with me, our goal is to keep them at bay aslong as possible, and if it comes down to it , we will fight." I said. I know how hard this is going to be, we are going up against trained fighters, but we were also strong.

"Yes sir!" They said, I ended the meeting and searched out Caroline, I found her in our bedroom.

"Caroline." I whispered, pulling her into my arms.

"James, please." She started crying. I held onto her tighter, my heart ached over the tears of my dear mate.

"Caroline, I swear, I will return to you." I promised. I knew the dangers, but I also had faith. I would return to Caroline, no matter what, I will fight to be with her.

"James, I love you so much, and I always will." She said, kissing me softly. Although her kiss was soft, I could feel the urgency behind it.

"Caroline, when this is all over, if we make it out alive, would you come back to the Baknor's palace and be my wife?" I asked. Her head snapped up, and she looked startled by my sudden proposal.

"Yes, of course James, I'll follow you anywhere." I kissed her again, this time harsher then the last, If this was the last time I got to kiss her, I was going to make it worth it.

~Jasper~

I held onto Ellie a little tighter, I could feel so much emotion and love pouring out of her since completing the mating. I also could feel her fear, she knew what was coming. Finally, it was dark enough that we could leave. We both got dressed quickly and made it outside.

"James, is everything set?" I asked.

"Yes, sir, Elijah and Lucas will be accompanying you." I walked over and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"James, I swear, I will protect Caroline." I swore to him, after everything he and Caroline have sacrificed for us, it was the least I could do. James walked over and gripped Caroline tightly, it would kill them both to be away from eachother, and not knowing the others fate. I felt a tug at my heart, the guilt was overwhelming.

Elijah and Lucas approached us, they had shifted.

"Caroline, get on Lucas's back, we will get where we need to go faster this way." I said. Ellie was riding on my back, I didn't want her shifting in her pregnancy, and Caroline agreed to stay human aswell. I shifted quickly and motioned with my head for Ellie to jump on.  As soon as I felt my mate safely on me, I gave one last look at the ones being left behind before and let out a yelp before taking off.

We ran for what seemed like hours, Ellie was gripping onto me almost painfully. Elijah stopped and let out a howl, something was very wrong.

Approaching us from the front was 5 bigger wolves. Ellie screamed, and I had to assume they where from the kingdom.

I barred my teeth and growled.

no harm would come to my mate, or Caroline.
