Chapter 14

Elena opened the door of her limousine as she stepped out of the car and started walking towards her private jet as her driver grabbed her luggage and followed. When she finally entered and got herself situated she started to think of the call she got yesterday from her Russian allies indicating they needed a private meeting with her but outside the US, so now she has to travel to Russia which she hated at the moment. Elena brought her security detail since she was leaving the US and didn't trust her colleagues overseas. The call sounded serious and she didn't know what to expect which she didn't like. All they said was that it was not safe to talk over the phone and if she wanted to keep them as investors she needed to attend their meeting. The plane started to take off as her mind drifted to a certain programmer and how their relationship has progressed. It has been almost a week since she gave herself to Natalia and she enjoyed every bit but felt too vulnerable and she didn't like this feeling. 

Elena has accepted that she has strong feelings for Natalia and wanted nothing more but to be with her. She is done battling in her head against her feeling for the programmer. But what really scared Elena is that she doesn't know how to handle her feelings and makes her act on impulse, which she does not like or do. Elena wants Natalia completely and will not accept no in any way. If Natalia wants her to give herself to her like the other night, she will do it again but only with Natalia. Another thing she could not believe is the pleasure Natalia gave her that night; she was the first to touch her in that way and made Elena feel special. She saw the adoration that Natalia had for her and how delicate she was treated by her and that is what she loved about Natalia. 

About twelve hours later she was walking in a restaurant that looked cozy and homey, she followed the waitress towards a table in the back where her colleagues were at. Victor and Ivan Bortsov were sitting eating their meals. Elena sat down in front of them and got comfortable at the table. Not even one minute passed and a waiter came and poured a shot of vodka on the table. Elena nodded towards the brothers and drank her shot straight.

"So are you guys going to tell me why I had to fly thousands of miles for a meeting we could have had virtually?" Elena said annoyed, she hated being out of her comfort zone.

"Because there is a rat where you live" Victor said in his strong Russian accent.

"What my brother is trying to say is, that is not safe to discuss business over the US, and we are being watch or is your company and you that are." Ivan said while pouring a shot of vodka for himself.

"What do you mean is not safe?" Elena asked concerned.

"While we were staying in Boston there was a call made to the Russian embassy asking about two license plates of cars as a checkup, guess what two cars were in question?" Ivan asked coldly towards Elena, she just nodded for him to continue.

"My brother and my limousines were in question and they were only used twice while our stay over there, one was towards your house meeting and the other was when we went to your company. You see were I'm getting at with this?" Ivan concluded while Elena nodded.

"So your conclusion is that somebody is investigating my company or me, but this is old news we knew that at some point there were going to investigate due to my uncle's incompetence." Elena said while sighing.

"Yes but to directly connect us we do not like" Victor said, while Elena poured herself a shot of vodka and drank it.

"We know that you have changed that everything for the better you are a very strong intelligent woman that knows that should not mess with business correct?" Ivan asked. Elena nodded.

"We have the rat's name maybe it has some meaning to you" Victor concluded.

"Ah yes the stupid American thought that giving his name and agency would give him information from the embassy, imbecil. His name is Agent Ramos and works for the FBI." Ivan said, while Elena's eyes widened.

"Ramos you said?" Elena asked curiously.

"Have you heard the name before?" asked Ivan.

"Yes I have." Elena answered while clenching her jaw as she felt the anger spreads through her body.

"Do you want us to kill him and send a message?" Victor said happily, eager that he gets to kill somebody.

"No I will take care of him, no killing, we do not need more attention." Elena said.

"You see the urgency of the meeting and why it couldn't be in the US, if they are watching you they would know, now to business, how are our products?" Ivan asked.

"Already cooking don't worry I'm personally making sure it gets done." Elena answered. Ivan and Victor both nodded happily and poured vodka shots to drink.

Elena left the restaurant a couple of hours later after eating and drinking a little with her colleagues, she was angry. She just arrived at the airport to depart for the US, which she would arrive in perfect timing to start her day tomorrow at the company. The fact that an FBI agent is working at the company and without her knowledge made her furious. He was in the computer department near Natalia and that was unacceptable. Elena remembered the name because it was the only one without experience that Natalia hired. Natalia being her naive self, thought she could hire somebody inexperienced so she can teach and make excel in her area, like once they did with her. It was actually really sweet and is one of the things she loved about her. Love, Elena questioned in her mind, Natalia has a lot of qualities that Elena loves but can I be falling in love? Elena shook her head quickly and hid the question in the back of her mind. The plane took off and she decided to rest on her way home, she will need it since tomorrow was going to be a busy day.

Twelve hours later Elena found herself walking in her Company she entered her elevator and waited to arrive at her floor. As she stepped out of the elevator her secretary came towards her with her coffee and files. She kept walking towards her office but before she entered turned around towards her secretary.

"Call Natalia Allen to come to my office immediately" Elena ordered as her secretary nodded.

Elena entered her office and dropped her things in the back office, afterwards sat on her desk and enjoyed her coffee that was very much needed. About 10 minutes later her phone rang.

"Hello?" asked Elena.

"Ms. Allen is here." Her secretary said.

"Tell her to come in" Elena answered.

Elena's office door opened and in came Natalia and all of her beauty. Elena took in a breath as she observed the programmer come in towards her. It amazes her how Natalia could cause her to react in such a way. Elena got up from her desk and was received by Natalia wrapping her arms around her neck and leaned in feeling Natalia's lips against hers. This feels so good Elena thought to herself as she continued to kiss Natalia after a couple of minutes passed and Elena remembered why she needed to speak to Natalia. Elena pulled back slowly as she recorded every detail of Natalia's face.

"As much as I would like to continue this, I actually called you here for a business matter in your department." Elena sighed as if not wanting to continue, and then she saw Natalia tense up.

"My department, what's going on?" Natalia asked.

"Well it has come to my attention that one of your employees background check didn't clear. Now you know how I remodeled almost everything of this company due to its lost in the past. One of the things is that I trust the employees that I hire, therefore I do an intense background check as I did to you." Elena concluded as she looked at Natalia who just nodded to let know Elena to continue.

"Well one of your employees failed this background check and will be fired immediately is that understood Ms. Allen." Elena finished.

"Who is the employee Ms. Chester?" Natalia said with a smirk on, trying to lighten the mood.

"Chris Ramos is the employee that should be fired immediately, his background is a fake and I don't want that in my company, understood? All the information he gave is fraud, starting from his studies and knowledge." Elena said as she observed Natalia demeanor change from relax to tense as soon as she mentioned the employee.

"I know you took a liking to this particular employee since you saw yourself in him like you once said, but it was all a lie from the beginning." Elena concluded.

"Wow, and are you sure he is all fraud? I just can't believe it." Natalia said while a frown formed on her face which Elena didn't like seeing.

"Is Mr. Ramos the only one?" Natalia asked nervously.

"Yes just him, everybody including you, cleared perfectly" Elena said while she grabbed Natalia from the waist to bring her closer to her.

"Wow, I'm in shock he was a good employee, when would you like his termination to take place?" asked Natalia.

"Right now, call him in we can use the conference room, I want to be present" Elena confirmed as Natalia nodded.

About 20 minutes later Elena and Natalia were sitting in the conference room waiting for Ramos to come in, Elena took a look at Natalia and saw that she was nervous something that she saw rare in her.

"Are you ok?" asked Elena.

"Yeah I am ok, I just hate firing people you know?" Natalia said blushing, as Elena smiled tenderly at her.

"You look good enough to eat right now" Elena said as the door opened and in came in Ramos.

Ramos came in and sat in silence in front of Elena and Natalia. Elena looked him up and down remembering every detail of him for the future. Because to Elena this was not the end to seeing Ramos, she at some point wants to know everything he does and why he is investigating her. Elena looked at Natalia as if to go ahead and start the meeting. Natalia nodded and rose from her chair.

"Mr. Ramos the reason you are you here is because when we start to work at the company they do an extended background check to our employees and are very strict about these policies. Now your background check came back and it indicated that everything you said about yourself is well... fraud. From your studies to your previous employments everything indicating is fake and for this reason your employment with the company has been terminated as of now. Is there anything in your defense Mr. Ramos?" Natalia asked as she looked at Ramos in the eyes almost as if they were communicating.

Ramos then looked at Elena straight in the eyes as if looking for information but all he found was a light smirk almost unnoticeable. He looked back at Natalia and shook his head as if saying no and accepting his termination.

"What is there to say Ms. Allen, I know that I'm not a fraud I know you have seen my work but if background check says I got to go then I got to go right Ms. Chester?" Ramos said while giving Elena a challenging look. Elena rose from her desk looking straight at Ramos not breaking eye contact in the slightest.

"That would be correct Mr. Ramos, please leave your id here and a security officer will escort you to get your things." Elena concluded, Ramos just nodded and left the conference room.

Elena looked over to Natalia.

"See all done, come let's go to my office." Natalia nodded following Elena to her office when they entered, Elena locked the door and grabbed Natalia from the waist towards her.

"Are you ok?" asked Elena.

"I am, he failed your company's policies and measures had to be taken. I understand that." Natalia said while turning around and gave a peck to Elena.

"How about you come to my house today so you can relax and let me take care of you huh?" Elena asked as she gave Natalia's neck some kisses. Natalia shivered under her touch and Elena loved that effect she had on her.

"As much as I would love too, I have a previous engagement." Natalia answered.

"What would this engagement be that is more important than me?" Elena asked curiously, she is not used to hearing no for an answer.

"Plumbing, my mother's old house, a pipe busted and I have a plumber working on it right now as we speak but later on I have to go and take a look. How about tomorrow, I can go to your house if it's ok?" Natalia answered as she kissed Elena's luscious lips.

"Fine, but that is too long." Elena pouted; Natalia giggled and kissed her lips once more.

"I have to go and attend my department but I'll call you later ok?" Natalia asked, Elena nodded and watched Natalia leave her office.

Elena's phone rang.

"Yes?" Elena answered.

"Target on the move and being followed as requested anything else we should do?" unknown voice answered.

"For now just follow, observe and investigate" Elena answered.

"Yes Mam." Phone clicked as call ended.

Natalia left to her office quickly and took out her personal phone and called Ramos.

"Hello" answered Ramos.

"Don't go home in case you're being followed stay in a hotel today ok." Natalia said.

"I know partner, I think she knows I'm undercover mate. The way she looked at me..." Ramos said.

"I don't know how she found out about you and not me something is not right I'll call you later so we can meet up and keep your eyes open and be careful ok." Natalia said.

"Yes partner." Ramos answered and ended the call.
