CHAPTER 19 SANNE Everyone shoots us knowing looks when Josie drags me into the kitchen by my hand and my cheeks feel like they’re on fire. Like it wasn’t totally obvious what would happen last night, but now being faced with everyone again in the morning makes me feel very self aware and I don’t know what to do, how to act. It’s not a walk of shame, but more of a walk of fame, or something. “Good morning.” Kara slides a cup of coffee towards Josie before she looks at me. “What do you drink in the morning?” “Tea, please.” I slide onto one of the chairs at the kitchen counter. I can hear more voices in the living room, but this feels a little safer, with just Kara, Loes and Eline here, though they’re all looking at me. Josie slides on the chair next to mine, putting her hand on my arm.
