“So does this mean I dont have to carry you downstairs anymore? Eric blurted out.

Lester’s POV

Hearing Master Eric’s words dissapointed him a little. Hoping that Eric would have been impressed with this skill he was more interested in if he had to take him downstairs or not and with that “I’m sorry master eric but what do you mean by that?”

“I mean you can just suck my normal speed and get yourself downstairs and then I’ll come down after you?” Upon hearing this Lester thought that it was a reasonable thought since he was a very BIG sloth and thus VERY heavy. “Yes Master eric I could do that but mind you that there may be some side effects that I’d rather not chance to enflict upon you.”

Hearing this he could see Eric’s smile dissapear. Seeing his partner sad didn’t sit well with him he always wanted to make sure that he and his Partner had a good relationship and since things didn’t start off very well  He wanted to make sure that they could create a powerful bond. 

Before he was sent to Master Eric the almighty warned him that he would be a difficult summoner to get along with. Knowing Lester’s temperment the almighty knew that he would be able to handle him well thus they would be a perfect match especially because Lester was one of the Almighty’s most prized creatures he wanted to make sure that he was paired with the best. 

 “Master Eric with your permission and if you dont mind I would gladly oblige to your request and if it suits you we can continue that arrangement.” Eric’s eyes once again lit up “REALLY?!” he yipped with excitement. “Shall we test it out now Master Eric?” Eric immediately nodded and sat straight up on his bed ready to get the ball rolling. Lester sat infront of him and stuck his hand out. Touching Eric with just the tip of his finger Eric froze.

Eric’s POV

Lester didn’t even touch me and I already begain to feel his great power over come me and when just the tip of his finger touched my shoulder my entire body froze it felt like I was being crushed. Does this mean i’m gonna die? I thought to my self. I tried to move but it felt extremely difficult. Is this how it feels to be lester and not be able to move fast? while he was lost in thought he didn’t realize that Lester had gotten up and picked him up cradleing him carefully and walking downstairs. 

Penny was the first to see this event. As she saw Lester carrying me down the stairs her face was red her cheeks blown like a puffer fish. She looked like she was about to explode any min. I couldn’t tell if she was angry at me or something. But as soon as Lester gently put me down on the could Laughter filled the air. “I’m so sorry eric, I tried so hard I knew this was supposed to be a serious moment but seeing you being carried like a baby.. OH MY GOSH!”she bursted out. Behind her I could hear “ke ke ke” Kitty was looking at me intently I knew she was laughing at me. I didn’t even know it was possible for kitty to laugh she was always so serious but I guess seeing her best friend happy she couldn’t help but laugh with her.

I tried to say something to them but it was like my voice was caught in my throat. ‘is this how Lester feels when he tries to talk?’ I looked up at Lester and he was looking at penny with a smirk like he knew this looked funny but didn’t want to offend me. After he caught me looking at him I blacked out.

few hours later 

It felt like the air rushed back into my lungs and when I woke up to Lester sitting on the ground next to the couch I was on, my sister petting his head to calm him, and my mother sitting on the couch next to me. I looked at Lester and he had concern in his eyes. “Master Eric it looks like the side effects have finally worn off. you were out for about a few hours.” “how long is a few hours Lester?” a bit of attitude was heard in my voice. “4 hours Eric” my sister snapped “ You’re lucky you didnt die dummy” it was evident that my sister was very angry and it takes alot for her to get angry.

Penny patted Lester on the back and left with Kitty my mother softly spoke “ I’m upset with both of you right now. What you did? what you requested? was stupid side affects also include death and the only way we could tell you were okay for the time being was with your breathing and even then we wouldnt know if you would even wake up!  Lester I know you are trying to bond and gain favor with your Summoner but I would have thought you to be smarter than that.” When she finished scolding me and Lester she got up and left to her room. 

Lester was looking at me and I could tell he was sad. We just looked at each other for a few min. But for some reason I couldnt shake the feeling that someone else was also watching me.
