Summoning the summoner

A fart sound

Eric's POVas the light began to flicker before my eyes the light became brighter and brighter until it felt like I was blinded all I saw was white and then a HUGE fart sound filled the air around me. There was no smell and the light was gone in an instant. All that was left was a big puff of smoke and my mother sitting across from me her eyes wide with surprise, my sister with her hands covering her mouth, kitty sitting beside her with an expressionless face, and me staring into outer space trying to figure out what the heck just happened?

My mother's lips were trying so hard not to curl upwards and her face was turning red. My sister on the other hand her laugh came out booming she was laughing so hard that she was crying a river and she was rolling on the floor holding her stomach in pain with Kitty curling herself around her so that her friend would be rolling on her and not the ground. Mother started coughing as well trying not to be rude knowing that it was my first time. Man, I can't imagine if my brother weren't grounded and he was here to see me perform my first summon I wouldn't hear the end of it for the rest of my life. He'll probably even bring it up at my wedding or something knowing the jerk that he is.

I spoke to mom with my head hanging low "Mother I don't want you to pass out its ok if you laugh you know." I couldn't help but chuckle a little myself in embarrassment. Mother quickly replied "ok I'm so sorry son" as she laughed a little but not too hard. After a few minutes, she finally regained her posture. "Ok son, I think we should call it a day." "But mom I'm not even tired! I didn't even get to summon anything! It's Not fair!"

"son, I'm sorry but a rule of the summoner you can only use the spell once a day we don't know what might happen if it is said more than once especially in your case when the summon hasn't appeared. But I will tell you this that your very first summon will be your best friend and companion they will stay with you through thick and thin that is why Kitty and Shiro stay with them all the time. They can choose to go back to the Summoners realm anytime they want but the bond sometimes can be very strong." I was surprised at hearing this new information. "There's a summoner's realm?" "Yes, son there is. It's where powerful creatures that the summoners summon live. I don't want to spoil it for you yet until after you've perfected and received your first friend." "Awww come on mom why can't you tell me more about what's there?" "Son, I haven't even told your siblings about it yet. If you encounter something extraordinary then I will tell you. Until then it's not the time to tell you more about what's out there".

"Fine" I muttered. "I GUESS I have to wait"

Eric slumped and said what a bummer as he stood up to leave a shrill voice came out "YOU HEARTLESS PEOPLE STO-" before the crazy old man could finish his sentence and tackle Eric down he was frozen in mid-air, knocked out, and memory wiped. Kitty picked up the unconscious man and dashed to the border. She was back within min. 

Kitty had a special ability as all summoned creatures did. She had unrealistic lightning speed. In all honesty, I always thought she was the one that should be taking the intruders to the border from the beginning. Shiro was white and would catch more attention. She wasn't as fast or stealthy as Kitty was. But because Penny was still too young she could not come out to help and a summon would not listen to anyone but their companion Especially Kitty she was very stubborn and always reluctant to leave my sister's side.

That being said I reached the door and walked into the house. My father came into the room yelling "HEY SPORT! How did your first summon go? Was it cool? what did you get?" I muttered in a low voice so Kai wouldn't be able to hear knowing he was always lurking around the second floor indoor balcony. "Dad I got a fart that's what I got." I sulked away. My dad had a completely confused look on his face. As he mumbled to himself "a fart? Never heard of that creature before... a fart... a faaarrt... hmm I should look it up in the library.. hm maybe the internet might have it too." Dad then said obliviously "Well son I'm glad you had some progress today." Then walked into the library.

Mother came in with a smile "go wash up I'm gonna start on dinner soon.

I went up to my room depressed not hungry for dinner either. I took a shower, went straight to my bed, and fell asleep quickly. 

A couple hours later I was woken by my mother "Son we're having dinner come down and eat." I was still depressed and not in the mood "I'm sorry mom but I dont feel like eating right now." "Okay son you rest I'll put some in a Tupperware for you and save it for later." She quietly closed the door and left soon after I feel into a deep sleep.

The next Morning I awoke and it felt like something was smashing me making it hard to breathe. Quickly thinking that I was either being murdered or I was dying my eyes shot open and what I saw completely blew me away.
