Eric POV
It was getting harder and harder to breathe. I couldn’t yell or scream. I felt like my ribcage was going to break soon so I forced open my eyes and they almost popped out of my head after seeing what I saw.
I was going to die being crushed by a pile of sloths....
“Good morning master eric!” a Voice too enthusiastic said.
“Lester get these sloths off of me”
“I can try but as you already know I cant move fast so it is going to take a while before I can get them off”
I was already gasping for air. “GET MY PARENTS!” I whined in a whisper.
“okay Master Eric. MRS. SUMMONER MR.SUMMONER YOUR SON IS BEING CRUSHED!” Lester’s voice boomed in the house causing it to shake a little.
within seconds my mother came bursting through the door with my dad behind her. Their eyes wide with shock.
“Eric... how many times did you use that summoning spell??” my mother asked with a very concerned tone.
“ummmm I don’t remember mom” i replied embarrassed. “Son you are only supposed to use that once not a gazillion times!”
“Im sorry mom can you please help me get them off they are really heavy I cant breathe.”
that sentence snapped my mom back to reality after she noticed my face slowly turning blue.
“Guess I have a lot of work to do to send them back” my dad sighed while plucking them off of me like bugs. As he set them down he began sending them back to the summoners realm
“Son what were you thinking? We specifically warned you not to use it more than once”
Dad said disappointingly.
“Sorry dad, everytime I said the spell nothing showed up it was frustrating! I thought that maybe if I said it enough then -..”
“You’d be able to summon something “cool’?” My dad stopped me.
“Yeah..”
My dad looked at my sympathetically. “Son... I know that you want to summon cool things but you cant pick and choose who or what comes out. The almighty is the one who decides what you get. There must be a reason why he sent Lester to you. Dont think negatively son Lester might surprise you.”
I sadly looked at Lester “I guess you’re right dad... I’m sorry Lester I should have had more faith in you.”
“I’ts okay master Eric I understand why you would feel that my capabilities weren’t up to your standards. But I assure you that you haven’t seen anything yet” Lester looked at me and even though you couldn’t see it you could sense he had a mischievous smile on his face.
