"So, where are we going?" I ask, gazing out the window. We have been driving for at least thirty minutes now and our surroundings have become unfamiliar. If I didn't know any better, I would think he's attempting to kidnap me. I can only imagine Jaxon's wrath if that were the case.
"Have you never been outside pack lands?" Malcom asks astonishingly. It almost sounds like he's making fun of me, but I could just be extra defensive due to the topic.
I can't help but grind my teeth together anyway. "No. Being the Alpha's daughter, I wasn't allowed to in order to prevent other packs from kidnapping and using me for ransom."
